Fox Theatre Announces Show Replacement in 2013-2014 U.S. Bank Bway Series: JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT
The Fabulous Fox Theatre announced a change to its 2013-2014 U.S. Bank Broadway Series lineup following the news that the national tour of THE MUSIC OF Andrew Lloyd Webber has been postponed for a subsequent season.
A new tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT will fill the same time slot - April 29-May 11, 2014 - on the six-show season ticket package which also includes touring productions of EVITA, SISTER ACT, ELF THE MUSICAL, WE WILL ROCK YOU and ONCE.
"We are thrilled to welcome JOSEPH back to our stage for the first time in nine years," said Fox Theatricals President Kristin Caskey. "This show is a crowd pleaser that is sure to delight our audiences of all ages with its delightful story and high energy score."
One of the most enduring shows of all time, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT is the irresistible family musical about the trials and triumphs of Joseph, Israel's favorite son. The first collaboration of Andrew Lloyd Webber (Jesus Christ Superstar, Phantom of the Opera, Cats) and Tim Rice (Jesus Christ Superstar, The Lion King) JOSEPH blends pop, country and rock into an uplifting, technicolored story of biblical proportions. "JOSEPH is still the wittiest of Lloyd Webber's extravaganzas" declares the Orlando Sentinel.
