COCA Family Theatre Series presents Creole for Kidz January 29-31
Grammy Award-winning musician Terrance Simien introduces audience members of all ages to the joyous sounds of zydeco in an interactive performance. Simien is considered the "Creole King" and has shared the stage with music legends Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder and Dave Matthews. He is the face and wonderful voice of the "My Louisiana" national television campaign. Just in time for Mardi Gras!

Interface Exhibit Opens in COCA's Millstone Gallery

Informal artists' talk at 6:30pm
Curated by Amanda Verbeck - master printer at Pele Prints, Interface focuses on regional artists and their use of multiple print processes in collaboration with Pele Prints. These collaborations produced experimental works that include three-dimensional components, collage, handwork, among other elements. Participating artists inclue Gina T. Alvarez, Brandon Anschultz, Laura Berman, Lora Fosberg, Alicia LaChance and Grant W. Miller.
Free and open to the public. The exhibit runs through April 25.
Free @ 3 Community Event: Monoprint
Sunday, January 31 3:00pm
Children ages 6-12 will make unique monoprints using the COCA printing press. This workshop is offered in conjunction with the Interface exhibit in the Millstone Gallery. Free and open to the public.
New! Visual Arts Open Studio
Sunday Afternoons 1:00-3:00pm
Visual arts instructors leads these open sessions where children can explore collage, watercolor, pastels, acrylics, paper mache and more. Children ages 3-5 must be accompanied by an adult. Older children may attend unaccompanied.
$8 per week. Pay at the door.
