Palmetto Luna Arts and Trustus Theater present "Inocentes y Pecadores" (Innocents and Sinners), two short original plays in Spanish by Lucia Vega and Julia Vargas, Columbia residents who hail from Peru and Colombia respectively. This is a rare opportunity for Midlands theater fans to see drama with a South American point of view. Even for those who do not speak Spanish "Inocentes y Pecadores" will bring a fascinating and distinctly different flavor to the theatergoing experience. "Inocentes y Pecadores" will be in the Trustus Side Door Theater tonight, November 5th - 7th at 8:00pm.

Performances will take place today, November 3, at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, November 4 at 3:00 PM at Columbia Children's Theatre in Richland Mall, 3400 Forest Dr. in Forest Acres. This critically acclaimed and award-winning script by John Logan, will come to life on stage tonight, October 10-14 at the Columbia Museum of Art. The production is part of Trustus' new Off-Off Lady series - producing theatre offsite in non-traditional spaces.

This season, Trustus Theatre is going on a "Sexploration" in their newly named Trustus Side Door Theatre. Not that all of the plays are explicitly about the act of sex, but they do explore sexuality. The Trustus Side Door kicks off its current season with I Am My Own Wife, a one-man show starring local favorite Paul Kaufmann who will portray over 30 characters in one evening. The show opens tonight, October 5th, at 8:00pm in the Trustus Side Door Theatre.

The show was adapted from Ed Wood's B-movie science-fiction-horror flick by local actor Shane Silman, who still serves as both director and cast member in this production. Its last incarnation at Tapp's was sold-out, and it is making its way to the Thigpen Main Stage at Trustus Theatre tonight, September 14th, 2012.

Trustus Theatre is starting their 28th season with the intensely moving Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical Next To Normal. This show will mark the first show under the new leadership of Dewey Scott-Wiley and Larry Hembree as Artstic Director and Managing Director, respectively, as well as the South Carolina premiere of the show which closed on Broadway in January 2011. Next To Normal opens on the newly named Thigpen Main Stage tonight, September 7th, 2012 at 8:00pm. The show runs through September 29th, 2012.
