THE VELVETEEN RABBIT Plays At James F Dean Theater 3/23-3/28
The Flowertown Players presents the classic children's show The Velveteen Rabbit, by Phil Grecian, based on the book by Margery Williams, directed by Adrianne Clark, at the James F. Dean Community Theatre, 133 S. Main Street in downtown Summerville.
The velveteen rabbit is a charming, splendid rabbit, but on Christmas morning, amongst all the excitement, he's put in the toy cupboard and forgotten. One night, however, the little stuffed rabbit is retrieved and becomes the Boy's favorite toy, cherished above all others. As time goes on, the velveteen rabbit becomes worn and shabby with so much loving, but he doesn't mind. He is happy to be loved so much. So much, that eventually the magic of the Boy's love transforms him into a real-life rabbit. School performances are March 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27 at 9:15 AM, 10:45 AM and 12:15 PM. Public performances are March 27 at 7:00 PM and March 28 at 3:00 PM.
