Peace Center Holds SCHOOL OF ROCK Instrument Drive To Benefit Local Schools
The Peace Center has partnered with The Music Club of Greenville to collect used and new instruments leading up to and during the week-long run of School of Rock. The instruments will be donated to local schools through the organization's PITCH Project, which focuses on providing instruments to children.
The Music Club of Greenville will have the instruments repaired and refurbished to playing condition, and no instrument is too worn or too new. Band and orchestra instruments are accepted, including flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba, French horn, violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, drums and percussion accessories. Cases, reeds, supplies, bows, music stands, music books and band books are also helpful. No pianos please.
Instruments can be dropped off now through Dec. 10 at the Peace Center box office, which is open Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and 90 minutes before performances.
School of Rock plays the Peace Center Dec. 5-10 as part of the 2017-2018 Broadway season.

This high-octane smash features 14 new songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber, all the original songs from the movie and musical theater's first-ever kids rock band playing their instruments live on stage.
