CCT's YouTheatre Company Presents THE TRIAL OF THE BIG BAD WOLF, 10/24-26

By:

He's one of the most vilified characters in all of story-dom. Accused of eating everything from little pigs to little girls. But is The Big Bad Wolf a deranged sociopath or just the victim of revisionist history and "the liberal media?" Help decide as The Peanut Butter and Jelly Players of Columbia Children's Theatre (CCT) present The Trial of the Big Bad Wolf October 24 - 26, with shows Friday at 7:00 pm, Saturday at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm, and Sunday at 3:00 pm.

General admission tickets are $10 regular admission and $8 for active military and seniors with proper ID. Advance ticket purchases are strongly recommended, and may be purchased securely on-line at columbiachildrenstheatre.com. All shows take place at Columbia Children's Theatre on the second floor of Richland Mall, 3400 Forest Drive in Forest Acres. CCT's 2014 YouTheatre season is sponsored by Staymobile.

Penned by former New York playwright Claudia Aldamuy this fairy tale fantasy digs deep into what really happened to all of the wolf's "alleged" victims. And the jury? Every Disney princess, with a little help from you the audience.

"It's a delight," says playwright Aldamuy, "to see how audiences vote at each performance. Audiences of mostly young children always find him guilty, but adult audiences seem always to grant him clemency!"

The play is performed by CCT's "Peanut Butter and Jelly Players," a division of the organization's YouTheatre program especially for children in grades 1-6. CCT Artistic Director Jerry Stevenson directs this production featuring more than 50 young Midlands actors including Ian Aitken, Nazhaeya Bibbs, Kylen Bowman, Max Brabham , Toby Brock, Anna Brooks, Addie Brown, Eliza Brown, Erin Carns, Alex Cone, Elizabeth Crosby, Ava Cuturic, LoreLai Davis, Trinity Davis, Marissa Derrick, Alana DeWitt, Cate Dingeldine, Courtney Hope Diveley, Callie Doty, Elisabeth Eleazer, Ty'Keem Evans, Maximus Farr, Absalom Fischer, Paden Herbig, Elizabeth Hinson, Joy Housley-Hancock, Julian Jones, Marion Jones, Katelyn Kennedy Duong, Clare Kerwin, Chapman Lee, Delaney LeRoy, Katelynn Manning, Rian McCallum, Gunnar Mein, Hannah Montgomery, PJ Navis, London Oana, Libby Penland, Piper Phipps, Lucinda Pringle, Greylyn Rentz, Lauren Robinson, Mason Robinson, Terrin Robinson, Luke Schrader, Abby Shoemake, Farrell Shoemake, Annabelle Stevenson, Cort Stevenson, Mac Thames, Jacqueline Walker, Kirsten Whitaker, and Raine Williams.
