On an otherwise ordinary, early fall day on Cape Cod, two strangers meet, both attempting to escape their lives. After a frosty introduction, over the course of the ensuing day they slowly reveal to each other their physical and psychological scars, and through this joint revelatory act, each embraces the "false lie", or "truth", ignored. Questions remain however: Will they journey back to the living with these new "truths" in hand? And will they journey together? At times comic, wrenching, combative, and touching, "A False Lie" explores how trust cultivates truth, and truth delivers redemption.
