South Bend Civic Theatre Holds Open House for Performing Arts Camp Today

SBCT is hosting a Performing Arts Summer Camp Open House today March 8 from 10:30a-12:30p at South Bend Civic Theatre, 403 N. Main Street in South Bend. SBCT's summer camps are the perfect way to help students find and nurture the creative spark of performing. The Open House will give students and parents a taste of theatre, allowing them parents to sample the summer fare we will be offered from June-August at SBCT. Visitors will be given the opportunity to meet SBCT's teachers as well as participating in mini-workshops around the theatre to experience a bit of the fun that campers will have at SBCT this summer. Kids can also try on fun costumes and free popcorn will be served! Scholarship information and the application process will be available at the Open House as well.

The Morris Performing Arts Center, South Bend, Indiana, warns ticket buyers to beware of dishonest ticket brokers who misrepresent themselves as being the Morris Box Office or having possession of Morris tickets. Do not be deceived by third party ticket resellers charging inflated prices for tickets to Morris Performing Arts Center events. It has been brought to our attention that patrons who have contacted these third party resellers have been overcharged for performances. Also, in most circumstances, the actual seats purchased have been vague in seating location.

Dressing up as gals and meeting the locals leads to one hilarious predicament after another as the guys face romantic entanglements and madcap antics.

South Bend Civic Theatre will present an evening of holiday songs tonight, December 18th at 7:30 PM celebrating the many traditions and faiths of the season performed by SBCT company members. The concert will be a tribute to longtime SBCT board president, member, patron, and friend Tom Lower, who passed away suddenly earlier this year. Donations will be accepted at the concert to benefit a memorial in recognition of Tom's service and devotion to South Bend Civic Theatre. Tom chaired the capital campaign that raised the funds to acquire the new building for SBCT and was instrumental in developing the fundraising efforts to create the Jim Coppens Endowment which will ensure the long-term sustainability of SBCT. The concert will be held in the Wilson Theatre. Tickets are $10, and are available by calling the SBCT Box Office at 574-234-1112 or going online at www.sbct.org. South Bend Civic Theatre is located at 403 N. Main St.
