Cape Town Opera presents an English adaptation of The Cunning Little Vixen, directed by Fiona du Plooy in her operatic directorial debut, with Musical Director Jan Hugo and an English adaptation by Librettist in Residence Alan Olejniczak. The production blends physical theatre, striking animal costumes and imaginative visuals to offer an accessible introduction to opera for families, school learners and first-time opera-goers. Guest artist Siphamandla Moyake leads as Sharp Ears the Vixen, alongside Nica Reinke, Thandolwethu Longo, Mandisinde Mbuyazwe, Dumisa Masoka, Nonhlanhla Yende and Conroy Scott, with members of the Cape Town Opera Children's Chorus. The story follows a spirited young fox determined to live freely in the forest, exploring themes of friendship, courage, love and the wonders of nature.
