Launched with the purpose of discovering major global talents and showcasing aspiring professional violinists, the inaugural Singapore International Violin Competition features a star-studded 9-member jury including Pierre Amoyal of France, Shmuel Ashkenasi of Israel and Nam Yun Kim of South Korea.
The Grand Final will showcase the top three finalists, selected from a pool of 148 applicants, represented by 27 countries. The winner will receive attractive prize money of USD$50,000, international concerto and recital opportunities, a three-year fine violin loan from the Rin collection as well as a recording on the Naxos Label.
