For one night only, celebrate the life and music of one of the most celebrated Malay singers of the 60s and 70s, keroncong diva Kartina Dahari. Known for her mellifluous vocals, elegance and charismatic presence, Kartina’s superb delivery of songs is, till this day, considered by many to be in a class of its own. Throughout her illustrious career in music and television (which spanned from the 60s to the 80s), Kartina’s star burned bright as her songs transcended language and race, winning the hearts of Singaporeans and Malaysians. Her penchant for folk and traditional songs and her forte in turning well known songs into beautiful keroncong numbers earned her the nickname “Ratu Keroncong” (Keroncong Queen).
With music arranged and conducted by maestro Amri Amin and performed by a 42-member orchestra, join some of her close friends including Julie Sudiro, Kassim Masdor, Sugiman Jauhari, M Ismail and Jamilah Samsuri, as they take you down memory lane with some of Kartina’s timeless numbers, such as Terkenang-Kenang, Kembali Ke Pangkal Jalan and more.
