It is not uncommon for actors to have multiple credits at the same theatre. However, to say that David Emerson Toney has appeared at Arena Stage several times would be a bit of an understatement.

CRE Outreach presents the world premiere of NOBODY TOLD ME, a heartfelt original play written by Marine Corps veteran Melvin Ishmael Johnson, performed by Full Scope Veterans and Theatre by the Blind. Writer/performer Melvin Ishmael Johnson drew from his own as well as other veterans' real-life stories and experiences to create the piece, then joined forces with Theatre by the Blind actors to hone Full Scope Veterans stage craft skills. Working together proved to be a transformative experience for every member of the production.

Five different dance styles, six intriguing workshops, 50 plus dancers and one anticipated festival. The NCPA Centre for the Promotion of Arts and Culture Trust (CPAC) presents the fifth edition of Nakshatra Dance Festival 2013with the aim to exclusively feature group dance choreographies with stellar performances by world renowned Indian Classical dancers who have displayed startlingly contemporary sensibilities throughout their long careers. Taking Woodstock is coming to select cities on August 14th from Focus Features. The film had a New York City premiere on Wednesday, July 29th, 2009 at Landmark's Sunshine Cinema on 143 East Houston Street (between Chrystie and Allen Streets). South Coast Repertory starts off the New Year with the World Premiere of You, Nero, a comedy by Pulitzer Prize finalist Amy Freed. Commissioned by SCR, You, Nero imagines a meeting during the declining years of the Roman Empire between Scribonius, a put-upon playwright, and Emperor Nero, the all-powerful, narcissistic arbiter of art. The Roman romp stars Danny Scheie as Nero and John Vickery as Scribonius. Produced in association with Berkeley Repertory Theatre and directed by Sharon Ott,You, Nero will run from Jan. 4 through Jan. 25, 2009 on the Julianne Argyros Stage. Low-priced previews are available from Jan. 4 through Jan. 8. Opening night is Jan. 9.
