Each year, Ensemble Theatre selects a classic play to be part of their season offerings. Last year it was 'The Iceman Cometh,' which was recognized by the Cleveland Critics Circle for 'Superior Achievement for a Non-Musical Production.' This year's choice is Eugene O'Neill's 1920 Pulitzer Prize winning, 'Beyond the Horizon,' the author's first full-length work.

Stageworks Media just launched the LIVE FROM GRAMERCY PARK cabaret series at The Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South). The series kicked-off last night, January 27th, 2014 with Tony nominee Euan Morton, backed by Grandpa Musselman & His Syncopators. Mr. Morton and the six-piece jazz ensemble performed a repertoire of turn of the century ragtime, 1920?s jazz and depression-era swing by composers such as Scott Joplin, Jelly Roll Morton and Duke Ellington. 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, just featured Tony nominee Euan Morton, who made his debut at the acclaimed Manhattan nightspot last night, December 12th. Backed by Grandpa Musselman & His Syncopators, Morton, performed repertoire of turn of the century ragtime, 1920's jazz and depression era swing by composers such as Scott Joplin, Jelly Roll Morton and Duke Ellington. Signature Theatre presents the World Premiere of CHERI, conceived, directed and choreographed byMartha Clarke, now playing a limited six-week run through Sunday, December 29. The production began preview performances on November 19 and opening was last night, December 8 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) was proud to announce the statuesque Julie Newmar as their emcee for Out of the Closet's Cheap Chic Fashion Show and Auction on Saturday night, May 2nd at their Out of the Closet (www.OutoftheCloset.org) in Hollywood at 6210 Sunset Blvd. This 21-and-over fundraising event, orchestrated by Designer Louis Natividad, was built around a timely theme-?Tough Times, Great Solutions!?-and will benefit AHF, the largest AIDS group in the US, which currently provides more than 15,000 free HIV and STD tests annually in California via its community-based testing programs. The fashion show, that began at 9:00 PM featured models decked out in trendy and affordable wares straight off the racks of ?Out of the Closet,? year-round purveyor of ?cheap chic? and great solutions in tough times!

Goodman Theatre Artistic Director Robert Falls and renowned actor Brian Dennehy bring their artistic partnership to new heights with Eugene O'Neill's haunting drama, Desire Under the Elms?marking their fifth collaboration on O'Neill's work over two decades. Falls' cast includes stage and screen stars Carla Gugino (Entourage, Spy Kids, Sin City) Pablo Schreiber (Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Awake and Sing!), Boris McGiver (The Wire) and Daniel Stewart Sherman (Broadway's Cyrano de Bergerac). The centerpiece production of Goodman Theatre's two-month 'A Global Exploration: Eugene O'Neill in the 21st Century,' Desire Under the Elms appears January 17 ? February 22 in the Goodman's 856-seat Albert Ivar Theatre. Tickets are $25 - 82.
