Photo Coverage: Euan Morton Makes 54 Below Debut!

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, just featured Tony nominee Euan Morton, who made his debut at the acclaimed Manhattan nightspot last night, December 12th. Backed by Grandpa Musselman & His Syncopators, Morton, performed repertoire of turn of the century ragtime, 1920's jazz and depression era swing by composers such as Scott Joplin, Jelly Roll Morton and Duke Ellington. Euan Morton, a native of Scotland, received an Olivier Award nomination for originating the role of Boy George in the musical Taboo. He moved to New York in 2003 to reprise the role on Broadway, earning Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Drama League Award nominations, as well as the Theatre World Award for Outstanding Broadway Debut. His other New York stage appearances Sondheim on Sondheim and the 2007 revival of Cyrano De Bergerac on Broadway; as well as the Off Broadway productions of Measure For Pleasure at The Public Theater (2006 Obie Award), Tony Kushner's adaptation of Brundibár at the New Victory Theatre, Howard Katz (opposite Alfred Molina) at the Roundabout Theatre, the 2009 American premiere of Leaves of Glass, and the Keen Company's current revival of The Film Society.
54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, is the new performance venue in the grand tradition of New York City nightlife. A few blocks from the heart of Times Square and just below the legendary Studio 54, 54 BELOW is a classically designed state-of-the art nightclub in the theatre district that hosts audiences with warmth and style. The venue provides a food and beverage menu from early evening through the wee hours of the morning that is worthy of the world-class entertainment on the stage.
