Second Stage Theatre's current season will continue with a new production of Paula Vogel's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, How I Learned To Drive, directed by Kate Whoriskey and starring Norbert Leo Butz and Elizabeth Reaser. The Active Theater Company proudly presents TWO ROOMS, by Lee Blessing, the company's first show for their 2009-1010 season. Directed by Glory Sims Bowen, the show will play a limited-run December 3-13 at The Workshop Theater Company (312 W. 36th Street, between 8th/9th Avenues).
Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director; Ellen Richard, Executive Director) concludes its 30th Anniversary mainstage season with the New York premiere of VANITIES, a new musical written by Jack Heifner, featuring music and lyrics by David Kirshenbaum, directed by Judith Ivey. With musical staging by Dan Knechtges, VANITIES features Lauren Kennedy, Sarah Stiles, and Anneliese van der Pol.
