'Saturday Night Live' alumni Molly Shannon will make her Broadway debut in the smash hit musical comedy Promises, Promises as Marge MacDougall for a limited 12 week run from Tuesday, October 12, 2010 through Sunday, January 2, 2011. Promises, Promises stars Sean Hayes as Chuck Baxter, Kristin Chenoweth as Fran Kubelik, Tony Goldwyn as J.D. Sheldrake, Molly Shannon as Marge MacDougall and Dick Latessa as Dr. Dreyfuss leading a cast of 27.

As BroadwayWorld reported earlier, on September 13, 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' launched its first ever LNJF Broadway Week. The week will showcase all the biggest hits the Great White Way has to offer, from pounding punk rock to 60s swing. Each night this week, Jimmy will welcome a different Broadway musical to the Late Night studios.

Today, July 21, Promises, Promises celebrates its 100th performance on Broadway. The best of Broadway will be presented FREE on six consecutive Thursdays this summer with '106.7 Lite fm Presents Broadway in Bryant Park 2010' - a lunchtime series which began on Thursday, July 8th at 12:30pm on the Bryant Park Stage. Sponsored by Bank of America, and JCPenney 33rd & 6th, and hosted by Lite fm's on-air personalities, the tenth annual presentation of open-air, On- and Off- Broadway lunch hour performances runs through August 12th.

Yesterday, June 17, the Player's Club in Gramercy Park hosted Inside Broadway's 2010 Broadway Beacon Awards. Hosted by FOX5 New York's Julie Chang, the awards show honored Tony Award-winners Katie Finneran and Anthony LaPaglia, the current stars of Billy Elliot on Broadway, Harry Coghlan (President and General Manager of Clear Channel Outdoor's New York and Spectacolor Divisions), and Nicholas & Lence Communications CEO (and former NYC & Company Director) Cristyne Nicholas. Presenters for the evening included New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Broadway actor Brooks Ashmanskas, and Broadway Casting Director Nora Brennan.
