AN AMERICAN IN PARIS is coming to Omaha! This winner of multiple Tony Awards, based on the 1951 Academy Award winning film of the same name and adapted for stage by Christopher Wheeldon, will run February 13-18 at Omaha's Orpheum Theatre.

Cabaret, one of the great Broadway musicals of all time, opened to a packed house at Theatre at the Center (TATC) in Munster on opening night on May 7. The show continues through June 4. BroadwayWorld has photos from the opening festivities below!

Williamstown Theatre Festival opens the 2016 Season with Tennessee Williams' Tony Award-winning play, The Rose Tattoo, now playing through July 17. Obie Award-winner Trip Cullman directs Academy Award-winner Marisa Tomei in this new production, a new production of this intoxicating comedy, which won the Tony Award for Best Play in 1951. After retreating from the world in grief, widow Serafina (Tomei) revives and rejoins the world when the hot-blooded trucker Alvaro (Christopher Abbott) arrives at her doorstep. Passion, gossip, music and mystery fill the air in this steamy Gulf Coast town, where possibility and promise ignite. Check out photos below!

Artistic pairings and new historical perspectives guide two recent exhibition at the Frick Collection and MoMA.

Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances. Not all news was good though, as we also suffered a loss of an incredible amount of talent. Below, BroadwayWorld sends a fond farewell to those who passed away in 2014.

The Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the oldest theatrical organization in the United States, honored Emmy Award-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris as the recipient of its 2014 Man of the Year Award on Friday, February 7, 2014. Harris joins Dame Helen Mirren, who was recently honored as their 2014 Woman of the Year. Scroll down for photos from the event!

Vital Theatre Company and HIT Entertainment are pleased to announce the return of the yuletide hit, Angelina Ballerina The Very Merry Holiday Musical, to the McGinn/Cazale Theatre at 2162 Broadway from November 16th, 2013 - January 5th, 2014. Show Boat, the American musical masterpiece with a grand score by Oscar Hammerstein and Jerome Kern that includes the classic songs 'Ol' Man River' and 'Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man,' is now playing at the Wells Fargo Pavilion through July 14. Generally considered America's first true musical, the show has not been at Music Circus in 12 years, and this is its first time at the Wells Fargo Pavilion. The Maltz Jupiter Theatre presents Kate Shindle in Cabaret, the energetic, politically charged, seductive, and daring Tony Award®-winning production that is ranked among the greatest American musicals. With performances through January 29, the show is set amid the decadence of 1929 Weimar Germany's netherworld and follows the unlikely romance between writer Cliff Bradshaw and performer Sally Bowles.

On Christmas Eve, members of the Harburg family attended the show at Theater for the New City and joined cast members of E.Y. Harburg's'Flahooley'.

Mauckingbird Theatre Company delves into the lives of two influential gay writers Truman Capote and James Baldwin - both authors of literary touchstones of the mid-twentieth century.

Guys and Dolls stars Oliver Platt ('Nathan Detroit'), Lauren Graham ('Miss Adelaide'), Craig Bierko ('Sky Masterson') and Kate Jennings Grant ('Sarah Brown'). The first joint Broadway project by two-time Tony Award winning director Des McAnuff and choreographer Sergio Trujillo since their collaboration on the Tony Award winning musical Jersey Boys, Guys and Dolls began previews on February 5, 2009 at Broadway's newly refurbished Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street). The cast celebrated Opening Night on March 1, 2009 and BroadwayWorld's cameras joined the 'dames and gents' as they partied after the show!
