Theater for the New City will present Charles Busch's new comedy JUDITH OF BETHULIA. The fabulous Lypsinka, Tony Award-winner Alan Cumming (CABARET, 'The Good Wife'), and Tony nominees Alison Fraser (SECRET GARDEN, ROMANCE/ROMANCE) and Andrew Rannells (BOOK OF MORMON) all made appearances at Abingdon Theatre Company's 19th Annual Benefit Gala yesterday, October 24 at Espace, honoring Charles Busch, Julie Halston and Timothy P. Speiss. Beth Leavel, a Tony winner for THE DROWSY CHAPERONE emceed the gala. Carl Andress, who helmed Busch's THE DIVINE SISTER, THE THIRD STORY, DIE MOMMIE DIE! and SHANGHAI MOON, directed.

The John W. Engeman Theater is proud to announce the cast and creative team for Hairspray, the first show of their 5th Season. Previews begin on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 8:00 p.m., officially opening on July 9, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. and running through August 28, 2011. Hairspray is based on the film written and directed by John Waters, music and lyrics by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman and book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan.

Producer Daryl Roth announced today that Margaret Colin ('Gossip Girl'), Anita Gillette ('30 Rock'), Ann Harada (Avenue Q), Mary Testa (Eat Pray Love; Xanadu), and Pauletta Washington ('The Parkers') will join upcoming NYC casts of Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's Love, Loss, and What I Wore, which has just entered its second smash year at The Westside Theatre (407 West 43 Street). Stage and film star Haylie Duff (Napoleon Dynamite; Hairspray), Off Broadway vet Ashley Austin Morris (Die Mommie Die) officially joined the July cast of Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's smash hit show Love, Loss, and What I Wore and they made their debut on June 30th. They join stars Penny Fuller (who was part of the last cast and will continue her role as ‘Gingy'), Sharon Lawrence ('NYPD Blue') and Myra Lucretia Taylor (Broadway's Nine). The five women began their run on Wednesday, June 30 and continue through Sunday, July 25.
