Atlantis Productions Inc., the theater company that recently brought to Manila smash rock musicals NEXT TO NORMAL and AIDA, breaks new ground again with the first licensed production of IN THE HEIGHTS in Asia (Its next feat is Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID). IN THE HEIGHTS, a Broadway musical that presents a portrait of the Hispanic community in Washington Heights, Manhattan, runs at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza in Makati City until Sunday, September 18.

Tony Award-winners Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman delighted students as their special surprise guests during the Broadway Artists Alliance 2011 Summer Intensive Session One. Shaiman and Wittman lent their talents for a surprise Q&A with the students of Broadway Artists Alliance. Following the Q&A, they led a Song Interpretation master class.

Tony Award-winning actress Nikki M. James delighted students as their special surprise guest during the Broadway Artists Alliance 2011 Summer Workshop. Ms. James (currently starring the the Tony Award-winning The Book of Mormon) lent her talents for a surprise Q&A with the students of Broadway Artists Alliance.

The NYC Dance Alliance Foundation held its 1st Annual Bright Lights, Shining Stars Gala at the Jack H. Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at NYU and clearly delivered on its promise of a star studded evening of music & dance with one show-stopping number after another. Following cocktails hosted by Honorary Co-Chairs Cassandra Seidenfeld Lyster and Robin Cofer, eager guests flooded into the elegant theater for an evening of unforgettable moments.

On Wednesday, March 30, 2011, The Timing of a Day opened its run at Center Stage, NY before a capacity crowd at its Benefit Gala Performance. Lin-Manuel Miranda (Broadway's In The Heights) was on hand to a host a post-show conversation on-stage with the cast (Justin Anselmi, Miguel Govea, Nik Kourtis and R. Elizabeth Woodard), playwright Owen Panettieri, director Joey Brenneman and producing team.
