From the sun baked Oklahoma Territory at the turn of the 20th century comes the Broadway classic, Oklahoma!, beginning April 11 with a press opening on Wednesday, April 18 at 7:30 p.m. at 10 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire. Due to high demand, an additional week is now on sale through June 10. Featuring a powerful score by legendary duo Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, and based on Lynn Riggs' 1931 play, Green Grow the Lilacs, Oklahoma! will be directed by Artistic Director and Jeff Award-winner Aaron Thielen (She Loves Me, Spring Awakening). Jeff Award nominee Alex Sanchez (Marriott Theatre: Newsies, Evita, On the Town, Mary Poppins) will choreograph, with Musical Direction and orchestrations by Jeff Award winner Ryan T. Nelson.

The Broadway cast of Jimmy Buffett's 'Escape to Margaritaville' added their own flavor to Rodgers & Hammerstein, celebrating the 75th Anniversary of 'Oklahoma!' with a very Buffett version of 'Surrey with the Fringe on Top,' complete with an appearance by Jimmy Buffett himself. Jelani Alladin (Kristoff), Greg Hildreth (Olaf), John Riddle (Hans) and the entire cast of the new Broadway hit Frozen surprised the sold-out house at the St. James Theatre this afternoon with a tribute to Rodgers & Hammerstein's classic musical Oklahoma!, which opened at the St. James Theatre 75 years ago today, on March 31, 1943.

Academy Award-winning Hollywood musical 'Oklahoma!' returns to theaters nationwide for the first time in wide release in 60 years fully restored and with extended pre-show featurette featuring Okie native Kristin Chenoweth singing songs from the classic musical based on the Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II stage production. The limited theatrical re-release, a partnership between BY Experience and Rodgers & Hammerstein, An Imagem Company, begins November 1st with more than 1,300 screenings nationwide. Oklahoma native Blake Shelton organized a relief benefit concert for the victims of the Oklahoma tornado disaster. At the event, Shelton and his 'Voice' co-star Usher sang a moving duet to help the people in the tornado-ravaged state. Check out the performance below!

Arena Stage begins a new life in its renovated home at the Mead Center for American Theater in Southwest D.C., opening its inaugural season with a classic American musical that similarly embraces life on a new frontier. Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! is the first production at the Mead Center and features an all-star cast under the direction of Artistic Director Molly Smith.
