The 85th Tanglewood season will offer audiences a wide range of programs and events that spotlight favorite guest artists and repertoire, while introducing dynamic new performers, conductors, and composers, with 48 artists in their Tanglewood or BSO debuts, and works by 28 living composers, including world premieres and five BSO commissions.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center has announced its 2023-24 season, which celebrates the passing of the artistic torch and the theme of Legacy, with the final farewell concerts of two esteemed American string quartets, both with long histories at CMS.

The Utah Symphony's 2019-20 O. C. Tanner Company Masterworks Series continues with two weekends of Rachmaninoff. Conductor Aziz Shokhakimov will lead the Utah Symphony and the debut of guest pianist and 2016 International Queen Elisabeth Piano Competition winner Lukáš Vondráček through one of his most known and loved pieces, a?oeRhapsody on a Theme of Paganini.a?? Give yourself a proper musical scare with Mussorgsky's a?oeNight on Bald Mountain, just in time for Halloween! Hear the full emotional range of your Utah Symphony as they perform Prokofiev's tribute to the a?oenoble spirita?? of humanity during times of war. Carlos Miguel Prieto will conduct the orchestra, pianist Boris Giltburg and mezzo-soprano Kristin Chávez through the deeply challenging a?oeConcerto No. 3a?? and a program of Latin American composers.

Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct the New York Philharmonic in the World Premiere-New York Philharmonic Commission of Lera Auerbach's NYx: Fractured Dreams (Violin Concerto No. 4).

Maestro Gerhardt Zimmermann gave the audience three works in three categories from which to choose for the Canton Symphony Orchestra's opening night concert and they chose well!  The concert, titled "You Asked For It!", kicks off the CSO's 79th season on October 1, 2016 at 8:00pm at Umstattd Performing Arts Hall at the Zimmermann Symphony Center and is sponsored in part by Buckingham, Doolittle and Burroughs, Fred Olivieri Construction Company, The Williams Companies and Glenn and Joy E. The program will begin with Mr. Kim as soloist in Béla Bartók's Violin Concerto No. 2, and conclude withAntonín Dvo?ák's Symphony No. 6.
