Review: BLITHE SPIRIT at Seattle Rep
by Jay Irwin - Dec 5, 2024
Dear Readers, I do love a good farce. That rollicking romp with oodles of physical comedy and improbable situations. Combine that with a good comedy of manners and it’s gold. What that spells is Noël Coward’s classic “Blithe Spirit” and lucky for us, it’s playing at the Seattle rep. And while there were a few little hiccups, the show is a laugh riot!

by Kevin Shaw - Oct 18, 2023
What did our critic think of BLITHE SPIRIT at Theatre Memphis? Perhaps it’s self-evident, but the ability to communicate with the dead would appear to be, in a word, “challenging.” Having never personally attended a séance, the ingredients necessary to summon a ghost would seem to require enormous skill, persistence, and focus.

BWW Review: A MEXICAN TRILOGY: An American Story: A Legacy of Letting Go
by Ellen Dostal - Sep 23, 2016
The essence of Latino Theatre Company's monumental production of A MEXICAN TRILOGY: An American Story is beautifully captured in the simple photograph above. In this starry night scene, a family poised on the edge of major change looks to the infinite sky with hope. Quietly, in these few moments of silence, we as audience members know exactly how they feel. For what parent has not dreamed of providing a better life for his or her children and what child has not longed for a future where dreams come true?
Hudson Music Club Presents IN THE MOOD, 7/25-29
by Kelsey Denette - Jul 16, 2012
The idea for IN THE MOOD - A Time to Remember came to Gail Marchand, President of the Hudson Music Club, while her family was listening to Big Band music one evening and her father began reminiscing about WWII and how met her mother. Marchand took the concept to James Milvain who agreed to write the script. With Jean-Claude Olivier's vintage set, the musical support of Sheila Engel Katz (Musical Director) and Philippe Gobeille (Staging & Direction), and a talented group of on-stage and backstage volunteers, a touching original story, brimming with 1940's melodies, comes to life at Hudson Village Theatre.
