The Flame

In Defiance of Gravity is concerned with the historical figures of Prince Felix Yusupov, 1887 – 1967 a Russian aristocrat from the House of Yusupov, well known for partaking in the assassination of Grigori Rasputin in 1916, and marrying Princess Irina Alexandrovna, a niece of Emperor Nicholas II.

There will be a fully cast, abridged virtual production of Rachel Wagstaff's highly acclaimed adaptation of Sebastian Faulks's best-selling novel BIRDSONG, streamed online on 1 July 2020, the anniversary of the Battle of the Somme. 

The Drama League today announced the 2017-2018 Board of Directors Executive Committee. Longtime board members assuming new leadership roles are Stan Ponte, named President, along with Bonnie Comley, 1st Vice President, Kathy Henderson, 2nd Vice President, Susan Lang, 3rd Vice President, Anna May Feige, Secretary and Ken Wirth, Treasurer.

NVA is thrilled to have Ellis-Troy's close friend Sylvia M'Lafi Thompson anchoring the cast in the pivotal role of Carrie Watts.
