Christoph von Dohnányi will return to the New York Philharmonic to conduct an all-Beethoven program that includes the Overture to The Creatures of Prometheus; Piano Concerto No. 1, with soloist Radu Lupu; and Symphony No. 5 on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, February 1 at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday, February 2 at 8:00 p.m.

Zubin Mehta returns to Walt Disney Concert Hall to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his music directorship with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Thursday, December 13, at 8 pm, Friday, December 14, at 11 am, Saturday, December 15, at 8 pm and Sunday, December 16, at 2 pm. Mehta leads the orchestra in the colorful and varied program that inaugurated his tenure in 1962.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center and Dance Films Association today announced the lineup for the 41st edition of Dance on Camera. Taking place February 1-5, the dance-centric film festival returns to the Film Society for the 17th consecutive year with an exciting and diverse array of dance films, including several premieres.

Former LA Phil Music Director Zubin Mehta returns to Walt Disney Concert Hall with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Tuesday, October 30, at 8 pm. Joining them is thrilling pianist Yuja Wang performing Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1. Also on the program of Romantic Symphonies is a rare performance of Schubert's Third Symphony as well as Brahms' First Symphony. The concert is the first of the LA Phil's Visiting Orchestras series of the 2012/13 season.

In a return engagement with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO), The Collegiate Chorale will perform 11 concerts in Tel Aviv and Haifa with the IPO under the baton of renowned conductors Zubin Mehta and Riccardo Muti. They will then travel with the IPO to Austria to make their Salzburg Festival debut, the first performance there by an American choir since the Chicago Symphony Chorus appeared in 1989.

Mr. Dohnányi will conduct the Orchestra in the Rush Hour Concert on Wednesday, January 19, at 6:45 p.m., with a program comprising Brahms's Piano Concerto No. 1, with Radu Lupu at the keyboard. The concert on Thursday, January 20, at 7:30 p.m., will feature Widmann's Con brio, Concert Overture for Orchestra, Schumann's Symphony No. 4, and Dvorák's Symphony No. 8. Juilliard President Joseph W. Polisi announced today that 32-year-old violinist Joseph Lin, an alumnus of Harvard and The Juilliard School Pre-College, will join the Juilliard String Quartet as first violinist beginning in 2011.
