In December, Cygnet Theatre will continue its eight-year tradition of presenting a holiday show suitable for all ages. This season welcomes the return of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, adapted by Sean Murray with original score by Billy Thompson. This production is a completely re-imagined take on the original holiday classic featuring lively music, unique puppets and live sound effects. The airwaves of WCYG Playhouse of the Air will be silent this season as Cygnet returns to presenting a fully staged production. This 'little musical ghost story' runs November 28-December 28 at Cygnet Theatre in Old Town. Opening Night for Media is Saturday, December 6, 8 pm.

Sinking Ship Productions presents the World Premiere of Powerhouse, a new devised play created by director Jon Levin, writer Josh Luxenberg and the Sinking Ship ensemble. Powerhouse runs from tonight, November 1 - 23, 2014 in a limited engagement at the New Ohio Theatre, located at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City. Previews begin tonight, November 1 for a November 2 opening.

Tony Award nominee Edward Herrmann and Broadway actress Helen Cespedes will be in Westport Country Playhouse's Script in Hand playreading of the humorous and stirring historically based drama, "Trying" by Joanna McClelland Glass, on Monday, November 10, at 7 p.m. Director is Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist and curator of the playreading series. Tickets are $15.

STAGES St. Louis has announced that the box office sensation, Always... Patsy Cline grossed over $1 Million during its six month run at The Playhouse at Westport Plaza., making up 58% of STAGES 2014 ticket revenue. Always... Patsy Cline was originally produced by STAGES during its record-breaking 2013 Season, which resulted in two added performances and historic attendance. Nightly, the audiences stopped the show with thunderous applause for numbers like 'Crazy,' 'Lovesick Blues,' and 'Your Cheating Heart.'

The Old Globe invites your participation and coverage as it begins presenting shows through an exciting new producing platform, Globe for All. This free-of-charge tour of a professional production of Shakespeare will allow the theatre to serve more communities throughout San Diego by collaborating with a diverse range of local organizations. Old Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein directs the first production, Shakespeare's fascinating romance All's Well That Ends Well. Following a critically acclaimed run at the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe, William Gaminara's comedy The Three Lionsreturns for a national tour and run at St. James Theatre, London. The production begins its tour at Yvonne Arnaud, Guildford (2 - 7 March 2015), before travelling to the New Wolsey Theatre Ipswich (9 - 14 March 2015) and Liverpool Playhouse (16 - 21 March), ahead of a six week run at St James Theatre. There it will open on 26 March, with previews from 24 March, and run until 2 May.
