The Main Stage season opens in November 2018 with Disney's NEWSIES and follows with A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER, THE ULTIMATE FEEL GOOD MUSICAL TO BE ANNOUNCED JULY 1, 2018 and JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT. The Nancy Marine Studio season opens in September 2018 with Agatha Christie's THE UNEXPECTED GUEST and follows with the SEVENTH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL, A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS, Ken Ludwig's BASKERVILLE and DISASTER!... A 70S DISASTER MOVIE MUSICAL!

The Warner Stage Company will present the final performances of THE FULL MONTY on the Warner Theatre Main Stage May 11 and 12 at 8 pmand May 13 at 2 pm. Don't miss the most highly anticipated closing number of any show!

Continuing the momentum created with the current season launch of its Music Knows No Borders series, Executive Director Thor Steingraber unveils the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts' 2018-19 Season, which features four world premieres, two American premieres, several of the world's greatest orchestras, innovative jazz programs, two tributes to Hollywood legends, Broadway classics plus artists from 18 different nations who will appear on stage at The Soraya next season.  New Subscription Series tickets will go on sale May 1, 2018.

The Warner Theatre's Met Opera Live in HD Season closes in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre on Saturday, April 28 at 12:55 pm with Massenet's CENDRILLON. A complimentary 45 minute pre-opera lecture by Nunzio DeFilippis will be offered in the Studio Lobby at 10:55 am.

The Capitol Steps return to the Warner Theatre with an all-new show on Saturday, April 21 at 8 pm. The Capitol Steps works overtime to capture the new administrations' antics in satire and song. And since The Capitol Steps find their laughs in materials ripped from today's and tomorrow's headlines you never know whether Steve Bannon, Jeff Sessions, or Kim Jong-un might appear from Mar-A-Lago or The White House.

The Warner Theatre's Met Opera Live in HD Season continues in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre on Saturday, March 31 at 12:55 pm with Mozart's COSÌ FAN TUTTE. A complimentary 45 minute pre-opera lecture by Jeffrey Engel will be offered in the Studio Lobby at 10:55 am. Set in a carnival-esque, fun-house environment inspired by 1950s Coney Island, complete with bearded ladies, fire-eaters and a Ferris Wheel, the winning cast features Amanda Majeski as the conflicted Fiordiligi, Serena Malfi as her sister Dorabella, Tony Award-winner Kelli O'Hara as Despina, Ben Bliss and Adam Plachetka as the sisters' fiance's and Christopher Maltman as the cynical Don Alfonso. Phelim McDermott's clever vision of Mozart's comedy about the sexes is conducted by David Robertson.

Broad Stage's 2018 Celebrity Opera Series continues with Elina Garanca, mezzo-soprano with orchestra conducted by Karel Mark Chichon, in An Homage to Spain.

Upon entering the theater, brightly lit stars graced the stage. While it's intentions were to symbolically represent the stars on the American flag, it also indicated the level of talent the audience would endure.

2018 Santa Barbara International Film Festival Program Announced

The Capitol Steps return to the Warner Theatre on Saturday, April 21 at 8 pm with their new show, Orange Is The New Barack.

The Warner Theatre will show THE OPERA HOUSE, in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre on Saturday, January 13 at 12:55 pm as a fundraiser to benefit opera programming at the Warner. Admission is $25. A one-hour post-opera dessert and wine reception will be offered in the Studio Lobby for $15.

The Warner Stage Company will present the murderously funny thriller THE GAME'S AFOOT (or HOLMES FOR THE HOLIDAYS) in the Warner's Nancy Marine Studio Theatre December 9-17. The danger and hilarity are non-stop in this glittering whodunit set in William Gillette's Connecticut castle which won the 2012 Mystery Writers of America Edgar Allen Poe Award for Best Play.

Susan Penhaligon recently joined the touring cast of CABARET alongside Will Young (Emcee) and Louise Redknapp (Sally Bowles), which opens at the New Wimbledon Theatre tonight 21 September.

Art and history, as vividly recalled in both the public oratory and private thoughts of Abraham Lincoln, will come alive at Chesterwood today, Aug. 9 at 5 p.m., with the return of 'Lincoln Speaks,' a program of dramatic readings held in Daniel Chester French's Stockbridge studio alongside the sculptor's six-foot-high plaster model of the seated figure of "Abraham Lincoln" for the Lincoln Memorial, arguably the most famous and compelling Lincoln image in the world. The "Lincoln Speaks" program debuted to a sold-out house at Chesterwood last summer.
