Four tribute performances celebrating albums by LED ZEPPELIN, PINK FLOYD, AC/DC and VAN HALEN will take place at the Nancy and David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre, with single tickets and series packages set to go on sale this week.
The Theatre Group at SBCC concludes the 17/18 season with the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, CRIMES OF THE HEART by Beth Henley.
Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances. Not all news was good though, as we also suffered a loss of an incredible amount of talent. Below, BroadwayWorld sends a fond farewell to those who passed away in 2014.
I had forgotten how profoundly theatre can transcend. That the people doing the singing, dancing, joke making and storytelling are actual human beings, and that they're susceptible to the butterfly effect and the hundredth monkey and that they, too, are feeling the weight of the sky pressing down in these hard, heavy times.
