MCC Theatre has announced additions to their all-star line-up for the company's highly anticipated annual gala, to be held next Monday, March 1, 2010 at The Hammerstein Ballroom. Complementing the glittering, previously announced miscast will be Tony Award-winner David Miller (one of the original members of ‘Il Divo', Baz Luhrman's La Bohème), two time Tony Award-nominee Tom Wopat (Catch Me If You Can, A Catered Affair), Jordan Ballard (Bette Midler: The Showgirl Must Go On, Hairspray), Jackie Burns (Hair), Kelsey Fowler (Sunday in the Park with George, Grey Gardens), Alison Horowitz (Sunday in the Park with George) and Anastacia McClesky (Catch Me If You Can, Tarzan).

Casting has been announced for the new Broadway musical COME FLY AWAY, conceived, choreographed, and directed by Tony Award-winner Twyla Tharp and featuring vocals by Frank Sinatra. Center Theatre Group and producers Thomas Schumacher of Disney Theatrical Productions and Cameron Mackintosh announced today that tickets for the eagerly anticipated production of Mary Poppins will go on sale to the public on Sunday, May 10 at 11am. Mary Poppins begins performances at the CTG/Ahmanson Theatre on November 13, 2009, for a limited engagement. Opening is set for Sunday, November 15 at 6:30 p.m.

Disney On Ice presents Disney/Pixar's FINDING NEMO took top honors in the category of Best Foreign Show in Argentina at the annual A.C.E. (Asociación de Cronistas del Espectáculo) Awards. The A.C.E. Award is the highest achievement award for theatre in Argentina. This was the first A.C.E. nomination and win for Disney On Ice in the twelve years that the productions have toured the country.

Girl Crazy, the first Encores! production of the New York City Center season, will star Ana Gasteyer, Wayne Knight and Marc Kudisch and will run November 19 - 22. Girl Crazy, directed by Jerry Zaks and choreographed by Warren Carlyle with Guest Music Director Rob Fisher, has music and lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin and book by Guy Bolton and Jack McGowan.

On October 4, 2009 alumni from Marymount Manhattan College (MMC) will take the stage of The Theresa Lang Theatre to honor Professor Emeritus J. William Bordeau, who passed away on July 25. The MMC community will be celebrating Professor Bordeau's life with a memorial from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the College, 221 East 71st Street in New York City. The celebration of Bordeau's life will also be broadcast LIVE on the Web at www.mmm.edu. A cocktail reception will follow from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in The Great Hall at the College.
