Set at a local university auditorium, shy and studious Robyn is the moderator of the English department's monthly meet the authors event. This month's featured author is Dan Anderson of Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man, but with the help of hunky stage assistant Stefan, Dan turns the event into a highly theatrical, audience interactive, sex tip seminar.

Late Nite Catechism is an uproarious piece of theater that takes audience members back sometimes nostalgically, sometimes fearfully to the children they once were. The irrepressible Sister teaches an adult catechism class to a roomful of students (the audience). Over the course of the play, Sister goes from benevolent instructor, rewarding the students for correct answers with glow-in-the-dark rosaries and laminated saint cards, to authoritative drill sergeant. These abrupt mood swings are bound to strike a resonant chord with everyone who survived the ups and downs of going to a school with an omniscient authoritarian at the helm.

Ute Lemper Returns To Cafe Carlyle with an all-new show, Rendezvous With Marlene, February 27 March 3. Rendezvous With Marlene is based on a 3-hour phone call and exchange between Marlene Dietrich and Ute in 1988. After receiving the French Moli re Award for her performance in Cabaret in Paris, Ute had sent a postcard to Marlene, who had lived at 12 Avenue de Montaigne since 1979, essentially apologizing for all the media attention comparing her to Marlene Dietrich. Ute was just at the beginning of her career in theatre and music, whereas Marlene looked back on a long, fulfilled life of movies, music, incredible collaborations, love stories and stardom. Ute considers it a secret gift to have heard Marlene talk about her life, her work and style, her love for the poet Rilke, her complicated relationship with Germany, her sorrow and her fascinations.

George Bailey's story is a universal one, so much so that some 70 years after the film treatment of It's A Wonderful Life debuted, the tale of an upstanding citizen faced with failure and ruin, has become one of the most beloved holiday-season tales of all time.
