The Flomenhaft Gallery (547 W. 27th St. Suite 200) present 'A Summer of Photography' from July 8th to August 20th. There will be an opening reception on July 8th from 6 pm to 8pm. an ambitious exhibit of photographs by the following artists: Keliy Anderson-Staley, Neil Folberg, Builder Levy, Rimma Gerlovina & Valeriy Gerlovin, and Carrie Mae Weems.

The Emmy-winning soap One Life to Live, will air it's highly anticipated 3 part musical episode next Friday, May 14, and production for it is in full swing. The three-day event, which SoapNet calls 'A sequel of sorts to 2007's 'Prom Night: The Musical,' is entitled 'Starr X'd Lovers' and features numbers from The Black Eyed Peas, among other famous artists. The broadcast will feature One Life to Live regulars, in addition to Broadway's Jason Tamm, who was recently seen as 'Paul' in the revival of A Chorus Line, in two numbers. He has also appeared on Broadway in Les Miserables.

Legendary funnyman Mel Brooks is set to be a featured guest at the TCM Classic Film Festival in April. As part of the festivities, TCM will partner with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce as they honor Brooks with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which marks its 50th anniversary this year. Brooks will also introduce a festival screening of his first feature film, The Producers (1968), which earned Brooks an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.

A report in The Canadian Press says that comedian Mel Brooks is working on a musical adaptation of his 1974 film 'Blazing Saddles'. Brooks says he has written two songs for the show and is currently working on a third.
