It was the most anticipated night of the year by high school theater programs across the state of Washington: The 16th Annual 5th Avenue Awards Honoring High School Musical Theater, proudly sponsored by Wells Fargo with additional support from Alaska Airlines. Presented at The 5th Avenue Theatre, nearly 2,000 teenagers, many in costumes representing their schools' musical theater productions, cheered for their peers as they performed musical excerpts and accepted awards honoring top student achievements in musical theater. Yesterday, high school theatre students and instructors across metropolitan Kansas City and in neighboring communities received the good news that they had received nominations for the 15th Anniversary Blue Star Awards from Starlight Theatre. Starlight leaders, staff and board members personally delivered 132 nominations to 42 area high schools. On Thursday night, May 25, winners of the 2017 Blue Star Awards will receive their honors in a public ceremony on Starlight Theatre's Cohen Community Stage.

Now through November 20th, North Carolina Theatre is presenting their production without ripping off RLT. Spamalot is a highly irreverent spoof of the quest of King Arthur and and his Knights of the roundtable.

Following record breaking and sold out engagements in 2013 and 2014, THE BOOK OF MORMON, is pleased to announce a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins November 1 at The Fisher Theater in Detroit and plays a limited two week engagement through November 13.  In Detroit, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, making a limited number of tickets available at $25 apiece (includes at $4 restoration fee).
