Long Beach Opera (LBO) takes on the private world of the most public life ever lived. The U.S premiere of Gavin Bryars' Marilyn Forever will be performed March 21 and 29, 2015 at the Warner Grand Theatre in San Pedro.

Celebrating its 6th year bringing live theatre to cinema audiences around the world, NATIONAL THEATRE LIVE is pleased to announce an international broadcast of Academy Award nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) in the title role of Everyman, adapted by Carol Ann Duffy and directed by Rufus Norris, live from The National Theatre of Great Britain's Olivier Theatre on Thursday, July 16, 2015. Dates will vary at venues internationally and encore screenings will follow.

Beginning January 26, the Met will present a double-bill of two rarely performed one-act operas: Tchaikovsky's romantic fairy tale Iolanta, with Anna Netrebko in the title role of a blind princess and Piotr Beczala as Count Vaudémont, a knight who loves her; and Bartók's harrowing Bluebeard's Castle, with Nadja Michael as a bride who discovers the terrifying truth about her new husband, sung by Mikhail Petrenko. Valery Gergiev returns to the Met to conduct both operas, which will be presented in a production by acclaimed Polish director Mariusz Treli?ski in his Met debut. This season's performances will be the company premiere of Iolanta, Tchaikovsky's final opera, and the Met's first-ever staged performances of Bluebeard's Castle in the original Hungarian. The February 14 matinee performance will be transmitted worldwide as part of the Met's Live in HD series, which now reaches more than 2,000 movie theaters in 69 countries around the world.

Music Director ?Marin Alsop will lead the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) in Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 8 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall and Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 3 p.m. at The Music Center at Strathmore. Also on the Classical Concert Series program are Barber's Medea's Meditation and Dance of Vengeance and Osvaldo Golijov's Rose of the Winds (BSO premiere). The Rite of Spring is the subject of Maestra Alsop's third Off the Cuff program of the 2014-2015 season, held Friday, January 9 at 8:15 p.m. at Strathmore and Saturday, January 10 at 7 p.m. at the Meyerhoff. Capitalizing on Marin Alsop's charismatic way of illuminating classical music, the Off the Cuff programs focus on one masterwork, allowing the Maestra to discuss the back story of the piece and the composer's life. Wiesenthal launches a limited 14-week engagement, from tonight, October 24 through February 1, at the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row, (410 W. 42nd Street). Opening night is November 5.

The third week of this summer's Mostly Mozart Festival, New York's acclaimed annual summer celebration of classical music, kicks off with a pair of all-Beethoven concerts by the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra leading one of the great works in the classical repertoire, Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, August 12 and 13, at Avery Fisher Hall. Conducting this large-scale choral work is Gianandrea Noseda, featured at Mostly Mozart for a second consecutive summer following his debut last summer leading Rossini's Stabat mater. Singers for the performance include soprano Erika Grimaldi (U.S. debut), mezzo-sopranoAnna Maria Chiuri (Mostly Mozart debut), tenor Gregory Kunde, and bass Ildar Abdrazakov (Mostly Mozart debut). TheConcert Chorale of New York, directed by James Bagwell, will accompany the Festival Orchestra and soloists. The Festival Orchestra will also perform Beethoven's Overture to The Consecration of the House, Op. 124, to open the concerts. Additionally, the Amphion String Quartet will perform Barber's String Quartet, No. 11 in a pre-concert recital.

The Almeida Theatre's acclaimed production of King Charles III will transfer to the Wyndham's Theatre for a limited season previewing from Tuesday 2 September with a press performance on Thursday 11 September. Tim Pigott-Smith will once again play Charles. The cast also includes Richard Goulding, Nyasha Hatendi, Adam James, Margot Leicester, Tom Robertson, Nicholas Rowe, Tafline Steen and Lydia Wilson. Further casting is to be announced.

Jane Moss, Ehrenkranz Artistic Director, today announced the 48th season of Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival, New York's acclaimed annual summer celebration of classical music, which runs from July 25-August 23, 2014. This year's Festival will feature more than 35 events across several venues including concerts, opera, dance, pre-concert recitals and lectures, late-night performances, contemporary music, and premieres of two commissioned works. The Festival kicks off with two free events: the world premiere of a new work by John Luther Adams, performed July 25 and 26 for free on Hearst Plaza, in a joint presentation with Lincoln Center Out of Doors, and continuing an annual tradition, the free preview concert by the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra at Avery Fisher Hall on July 26. Renee and Robert Belfer Music Director Louis Langree returns for his 12th season to conduct the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra, which will perform a wide range of works anchored by the Festival's featured namesake. Mostly Mozart will also present world-renowned artists and returning Festival favorites, such as violinist Joshua Bell, Mark Morris Dance Group, Emerson String Quartet and Artists-in-Residence International Contemporary Ensemble, as well as 14 Festival debuts, including pianists Yuja Wang and Steven Osborne, and violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja.

Old Vic Productions and Hampstead Theatre Productions are delighted to announce the full cast for West End transfer of critically acclaimed Good People which will play a limited season of just ten weeks at the No?l Coward Theatre from 10th April, as previously announced.

The production begins performances at the Loeb Drama Center at 64 Brattle Street, Cambridge tonight, February 4, and will run through March 16.

The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge and directed by Phyllida Lloyd, composed by Mel Mercier, with lighting design by Jean Kalman and Mike Gunning, set design by Chloe Obolensky and choreography by Kim Brandstrup, will play the BAM Harvey Theater (651 Fulton St), tonight, December 10 - 22, 2013 as part of the Next Wave Festival.
