Van Halen has added 18 concerts to its 2012 North American tour. The newly added dates begin tonight, July 7 with an encore performance at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Second shows have also been added in the Detroit and New York/New Jerseyareas, as well as Philadelphia. Ky-mani Marley is the opening act for all added concerts. The Beach Boys' 50th Anniversary reunion celebration is well underway with a major international tour, and the iconic band has another big reason to celebrate this week with their highest-ever Billboard albums chart debut. Their 29th studio album, That's Why God Made The Radio, debuts today at number 3 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart. The acclaimed new album, released June 5th by Capitol/BRI, sold 61,000 copies in the U.S. during its first week.

In 1966 the Hallmark Hall of Fame presented a television adaptation of Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt's Off Broadway musical THE FANTASTICKS. Ricardo Montalban appeared as El Gallo and Bert Lahr and Stanley Holloway were the two fathers. The young lovers were played by Broadway's favorite ingenue, Susan Watson, and a clean-cut young man named John Davidson who had made a strong impression on Broadway audiences as Lahr's son in the musical FOXY.

Block will join the Tony Award winning company of Anything Goes performing the role of 'Reno Sweeney' while Sutton Foster is filming the television pilot, Bunheads, for 3 weeks in November. Specific dates have been announced today and Block will officially be stepping into the role November 4 through November 22.
