Fancy Nancy is a 2005 children's picture book written by Jane O'Connor and illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser. The book spent nearly 100 weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list, launching a series that now numbers 50 books, selling 20 million volumes. Fancy Nancy has been on Publishers Weekly's bestseller list for picture books, was a Children's Book-of-the-Month Club selection and a Junior Library Guild Selection. It also won a 'Borders 2006 Original Voices' award and has been translated into 18 languages, including Hungarian and Hebrew. In April 2012, Nancy was featured in her first chapter book, Nancy Clancy: Super Sleuth. Books in the Fancy Nancy series have now spent almost 300 weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list, and in the fall of 2012, Fancy Nancy became a musical, produced by the Vital Theatre in New York City.

Super Grover, everyone's favorite super hero, taught children from Garden of Dreams partner organization, WHEDco, how to be a super hero today, January 24. The kids learned about nutrition and health, warmed up to their favorite Sesame Street Live songs and transformed into super heroes as Super Grover helped them create their own super hero capes! Washington Stage Guild deserves accolades for putting on this play that packs a powerful punch. This company, although it may fly under the radar in terms of public attention, should not be underestimated. 'Tryst' offers one of the best theatergoing experiences I've had in recent months.

Guggenheim Museum presents Gabriel Orozco: Asterisms, a two-part sculptural and photographic installation by the Mexican-born artist comprising thousands of items of detritus he gathered at two sites-a playing field near his home in New York and a protected coastal biosphere in Baja California Sur, Mexico, which is also the repository for flows of industrial and commercial waste from across the Pacific Ocean.

2012 CMA nominee Tim McGraw and multi-platinum-selling artist Faith Hill will perform on the "46th Annual CMA Awards," which air live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 1 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. Hill will sing her newest single, "American Heart," and McGraw will debut new music from his forthcoming album. Montgomery Gentry was formed in 1999 by Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry, and released their debut album Tattoos & Scars the same year. The duo is known for its Southern rock influences, and has collaborated with Charlie Daniels, Toby Keith, Five for Fighting and members of The Allman Brothers Band. Montgomery Gentry released six studio albums for Columbia Records' Nashville division:Tattoos & Scars (1999), Carrying On (2001), My Town (2002), You Do Your Thing (2004), Some People Change (2006), and Back When I Knew It All (2008) and a Greatest Hits package. These albums have produced more than 20 chart singles for the duo on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including the number 1 hits 'If You Ever Stop Loving Me', 'Something to Be Proud Of', 'Lucky Man', 'Back When I Knew It All' and 'Roll with Me'. Montgomery Gentry won both the Academy of Country Music Award and the Country Music Award for Duo of the Year in 2000, and they were inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2009. Their most recent album, Rebels on the Run, was released in October of 2011 under the Average Joe's Record label.

According to The Wall Street Journal, comedian Jerry Lewis revealed on Friday night during celebrations for his 86th birthday, that THE NUTTY PROFESSOR will hit Broadway this fall, with a planned opening of November 15th.
The production, which had originally aimed for the 2010/11 season will star entertainer Michael Andrew. Lewis first revealed the production and introduced Andrew back in 2006 while hosting the MDA telethon, video of which apepars below.
Lewis also revealed that joining the production team would be choreographer Kathleen Marshall.

Stiefel "7@7" Reading Series. The Ernst C. Stiefel Foundation has supported Manhattan Theatre Club's reading series since 2006.
