Catalano is the only known saxman to have performed with Miles Davis, Randy Brecker, Charles Earland, Elvin Jones, Stan Getz, Betty Carter, Von Freeman, Tito Puente, Tony Bennett, Les Claypool and Louis Bellson while still in high school!

Frank Catalano will be appearing at The Iridium tonight, Aug. 10 and Aug. 15, with shows at 8pm and 10pm. (Aug 10th featuring Randy Brecker; Aug 15th featuring Vuc Juris). The Iridium is located at 1650 Broadway in NYC.

For me and the Birthday Girl, it was definitely a good night.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Patrick Willingham) will take its MOBILE SHAKESPEARE UNIT on tour again this July with a production of RICHARD III, directed by Amanda Dehnert. The three-week tour, July 16 to August 3, will bring free Shakespeare to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts before a sit-down run at The Public Theater, August 6-25.
