Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts announced today that individual tickets for the Raleigh premiere of Dirty Dancing -- The Classic Story On Stage will go on sale July 20 at 10 a.m.

In a unique collaboration between Verve Records and Walt Disney Records, the two esteemed labels have teamed up to present the compilation album WE LOVE DISNEY, which will be released on October 30th. The compilation features the hottest artists from across the pop, rock, R&B, and country worlds delivering their own unique interpretations of classic Disney songs. Eric Rosen, Artistic Director of Kansas City Repertory Theatre, today announced the casting for the lead roles for Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Pulitzer-Prize winning masterpiece, Sunday in the Park with George. Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel Nominee Claybourne Elder (Bonnie & Clyde, Road Show, Allegro) will lead the cast as George, reprising his critically-acclaimed performance in Signature Theatre's award-winning 2014 production. Broadway veteran Sara Jean Ford (A Little Night Music, The Phantom of the Opera, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Finian's Rainbow) has been cast in the legendary role of Dot. Rosen will direct the production, to be produced in a unique partnership with the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art.

Guest choreographer and artistic director of the production is Xiomara Reyes, a world-renowned dancer who retired from the American Ballet Theatre (ABT) in May after 12 years as one of its principal dancers. nfinity Theatre Company (Anna Roberts Ostroff & Alan Ostroff), Martin Platt and David Elliott are pleased to announce that the first Broadway production of Dames at Sea will star John Bolton as The Captain/Hennesey, Mara Davi as Joan, Danny Gardner as Lucky, Eloise Kropp as Ruby, Laurence Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita as Mona Kent, and Cary Tedder as Dick. The original 1968 production of Dames at Sea launched the career of the young ingenue playing Ruby, Bernadette Peters.

The official opening night of Cameron Mackintosh and Michael Harrison's production of the musical Barnum at Birmingham Hippodrome was made even more special as one of the show's producers, Michael Harrison, paid tribute to its star BRIAN CONLEY who this month celebrates an outstanding 600th performance at the UK's most visited theatre.

The Old Globe's presentation of Kiss Me, Kate, the classic musical comedy featuring a book by Sam and Bella Spewack and an iconic score by Cole Porter, begins tonight, July 1, on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.

Stella Abrera and Misty Copeland have been promoted to the rank of Principal Dancer with American Ballet Theatre and Skylar Brandt, Thomas Forster, Arron Scott and Cassandra Trenary have been promoted to Soloist effective August 1, 2015.   In addition, Maria Kochetkova, a principal dancer with San Francisco Ballet and Alban Lendorf, a principal dancer with Royal Danish Ballet will join the Company as Principal Dancers and Jeffrey Cirio, a principal dancer with Boston Ballet, will join ABT as a Soloist, it was announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie.

According to the New York Times, Henry Holt will publish Todd S. Purdum's 'Rodgers and Hammerstein' in 2018- the 75th anniversary of the composing team's first musical, Oklahoma!. The biography will follow both their contributions to musical theatre, as well as their personal lives.

The Janet and Mark L. Goldenson Broadway Musical Concert Series at Rubicon Theatre Company continues with three concerts celebrating the genius of two of the most prolific and most important writing teams in musical theatre history in a show entitled RODGERS & HART & HAMMERSTEIN.

Andrew Lippa along with Kate Baldwin and Conor Ryan, the stars of the recent acclaimed Keen Company production of John & Jen, the musical with music by Andrew Lippa, lyrics by Tom Greenwald, and a book by Greenwald and Lippa, will head over to 54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on Saturday June 6th, to celebrate the upcoming release of the 2015 Off-Broadway Cast Recording for Broadway Records.  A June 16th release is planned. Andrew Lippa and Michael Croiter produced the album. Musical Director is Lily Lang.  This recording will include the premiere of the new song, "Trouble with Men,' as well as new orchestrations and two songs from the score never before recorded.
