North Idaho (CYT-NI) presents the Broadway musical, Annie, Nov 3 - 12, 2017 at the Salvation Army Kroc Community Theater, 1765 W.Golf Course Rd., Coeur d'Alene, ID. Eighty two local school children ages 8-18 make up the cast with an additional 20 on crew all overseen by 70 adult volunteers.

Ex-police officer Rick Deckard, whose job as a 'Blade Runner' is to track down bioengineered beings known as replicants and 'retire' them, has been sent on a mission to find out if Cherry is human or a replicant.

Winner of the 2009 Tony Award for Best Play, the acclaimed dark comedy takes place in the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, where civility unravels as two sets of parents discuss how to deal with a playground altercation that occurred between the couples' sons the previous day.

I wanted to direct Coming Clean for the King's Head Theatre because I think it's a beautiful piece of work by a wonderful playwright. I'm astonished that it's not had a major London revival in the 35 years since the original production at the Bush Theatre and wanted, in the 50th anniversary month of the decriminalisation of homosexuality, to introduce it to a whole new generation.

Gloucester Stage Company continues its 38th season of professional theater on Cape Ann with N. Richard Nash's moving American classic The Rainmaker from July 14 through August 5 at 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. Set in the time of a paralyzing drought in Depression-era America, The Rainmaker tells the story of a pivotal hot summer day in the life of spinsterish Lizzie Curry, whose father and two brothers are worried as much about her marriage prospects as they are about their dying cattle. Enter Starbuck, the consummate con man, who promises to solve all their problems, for a fee. Directed by Gloucester Stage Artistic Director Robert Walsh, The Rainmaker cast features Brian Homer as Starbuck; Jessica Bates as Lizzie Curry; David DeBeck as H.C. Curry, the patriarch of the Curry family; Joe Short and Sean McCoy as the Curry brothers; Dave Rich as File and longtime Gordon College Professor of Theater Arts Norm Jones as Sheriff Thomas. N. Richard Nash's most celebrated play, The Rainmaker, appeared in all three mediums; on Broadway in 1954, as a motion picture starring Katharine Hepburn in 1956, and as a television production in 1982. A musical version of The Rainmaker, entitled 110 Degrees in the Shade, debuted on Broadway in 1963.

In a time when issues of immigration, assimilation, xenophobia, and socio-economic upheaval are more present than ever, the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene will bring to the stage a reimagined version of Moishe Rosenfeld and Zalmen Mlotek's Amerike-The Golden Land, a musical journey of the immigration experience. Playing at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, across from the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, from which the story has taken inspiration, this limited Off Broadway engagement opens tonight and will run through August 6th.
