Kravis Center for the Performing Arts will offer a nonstop series of audience-dazzling performances by show biz legends and super-hot headliners throughout the upcoming 2016-2017 season - an exciting and unforgettable array of international artists and stage shows, from every discipline from rock to pop to classical music, from Broadway to Hollywood to Nashville, from your TV screen and iPhone, and from some of the world's hippest nightclubs and most impressive concert halls.

The UK premiere of the hit Off Broadway musical Adding Machine: A Musical, composed by Joshua Schmidt, with libretto by Jason Loewith and Joshua Schmidt, and based on the classic play by Elmer Rice, opens at the Finborough Theatre on Wednesday, 28 September 2016 (Press Nights: Friday 30 September and Saturday 1 October 2016 at 7.30pm).

Legendary leading ladies Elizabeth Taylor, Greta Garbo, Rita Hayworth and Barbra Streisand are featured in the July Reel 13 schedule. 

Lovers of the era of Busby Berkeley movie musicals are getting a double whammy of Golden Age goodness this month with a pair of musicals playing only two blocks from each other in Hollywood. I ONLY HAVE EYES FOR YOU is already running at the mid-sized Ricardo Montalban Theatre on Vine and, very shortly, 42ND STREET will open at the much larger Hollywood Pantages. Both are inescapably linked by their subject matter.  

The full programme has today been announced for the inaugural FRAME London Dance Film Festival. The vast programme of films and events is to take place from 9 to 12 June 2016 in Kingston-upon-Thames, London. Presented by the UK's pioneering dance company BalletBoyz in association with dancescreen, the festival is set to offer a unique opportunity to enjoy the best creative talent in dance and film to the general public, as well engaging broadcasters, video artists and choreographers. Over the three days, there are over 122 films screening with 11 World Premieres, 8 International, 4 European and 28 UK Premieres amongst the new work. These will be presented alongside classic films for all ages led by a celebration of Gene Kelly, dance performances and outdoor and family activities at various venues across the town.

On September 16, 2015 The Playhouse on Rodney Square will begin selling single tickets for its much-anticipated Broadway in Wilmington series. The series includes six productions: ANNIE, CHICAGO The Musical, MAMMA MIA, BLUE MAN GROUP, 42ND STREET, and JERSEY BOYS. This will be the first opportunity patrons have to purchase tickets for individual shows without a season subscription or Choose Your Own Series package, although these options are still available for those interested in multiple shows.

Written by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins, CHICAGO is the winner of six Tony Awards. CHICAGO will play for 11 performances, tonight, September 11, through September 27, 2015 at the Lucie Stern Theater located at 1305 Middlefield Road in Palo Alto.

The night begins with big sound with Dvorak's Carnival Overture. Barber's Knoxville Summer of 1915 is a lush, richly textured work that is set to James Agee's Pulitzer Prize-winning book, A Death in the Family, and paints an idyllic, nostalgic picture of Chattanooga's neighbor. Soprano Mela Dailey will perform this work with the orchestra. Modern composer Christopher Theofanidis' enthralling Rainbow Body brings mysticism and mystery. Closing the concert is Respighi's Pines of Rome, a symphonic poem paying homage to the long-standing pine trees throughout the city of Rome. Music Director Kayoko Dan begins her fifth year leading the CSO. All ticketholders are invited to a post- concert Postlude event in the Tivoli lobby for a meet and greet with Music Director Dan and select musicians. Free sparkling wine is available. Barnett and Company sponsors the Masterworks Series.

Pear Theatre inaugurates its 2015/2016 season in a brand new space with the World Premiere of The Walls of Jericho.  The Pear's own Artistic Director, Diane Tasca, has created this stage adaptation of the short story "Night Bus," by Samuel Hopkins Adams, the delightful romantic comedy from 1933 that also inspired the classic film, "It Happened One Night."

The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC) announces the productions selected for its newest program: FringeFAVE. On August 30th, one final performance slot in each of the 17 theaters hosting the festival has been given to the best-selling show in that venue. BroadwayWorld.com has learned that the Academy Award, Golden Globe & BAFTA winning actor Forest Whitaker will make his highly anticipated Broadway debut in HUGHIE, by four- time Pulitzer Prize winner and Nobel Prize Laureate Eugene O'Neill. Directed by Tony and Olivier Award winner winner Michael Grandage, HUGHIE will play a strictly limited engagement in the spring of 2016 on Broadway at a Shubert Theatre to be announced.
