Forde is joined by Tyrone Davis Jr. (Witness Uganda), Marissa Miller, and Jillian Kates Bumpas (Wicked). Christopher Murrah directs. The remaining added performance will be October 24th at 7pm.

One can't help but leave the Ed Mirvish Theatre on a high after a performance of 'Wicked,' a musical now in its 11th year on Broadway. The Wizard sings a tune in the show which begins with 'I am a sentimental man,' and as I watched him call the guards just before Elphaba (the Wicked Witch) takes flight at the close of the first act - I realized that this lyric perfectly summed up my thoughts on the production I was seeing tonight.

Amas Musical Theatre in association with North Haven Arts and Enrichment welcomes Broadway's Josh Grisetti (Broadway Bound, Enter Laughing), Alli Mauzey (Wicked, Cry-Baby), and Kevin Pariseau (Legally Blonde) to lead the cast of the New York Premiere of Red Eye of Love, a new musical (based on the 1961 play by Arnold Weinstein) with book and lyrics by Arnold Weinstein and John Wulp, music by Sam Davisand scenic design by renowned American artist Robert Indiana. Directed by Tony Award winner Ted Sperling, previews began at the Dicapo Opera Theatre (184 East 76th Street at Lexington Avenue) on August 27, 2014. The Shapiro Sisters' debut album LIVE OUT LOUD: LIVE AT 54 BELOW will be released on September 9th, 2014. The Shapiro Sisters, 11-year old Milly Shapiro (Matilda, Original Broadway Cast of Matilda The Musical) and older sister, 14-year-old Abigail Shapiro (Cindy Lou Who, How The Grinch Stole Christmas), recorded the album live at the famed 54 BELOW over a series of three performances this past May and June. The Shapiro Sisters returned to 54 BELOW last week on August 28th at 7:00 PM, for an encore performance to celebrate the launch of their new CD. Tony Award-nominee Annaleigh Ashford and star of Book Of Mormon and War Horse, Matt Doyle will headline "Chasing The Day" a new song cycle by songwriter and Kinky Boots Associate Music Director Will Van Dyke. They will also be joined by If/Then star Tamika Sonja Lawrence and Preston Sadleir (Next to Normal) at 54 Below on Monday, November 17, 2014. The four actors will play two shows on November 17th (7:00 PM & 9:30 PM), with direction by Kerry Whigham and musical direction by Dominick Amendum. Originally released as an album on Sh-K-Boom Records in October 2010, Van Dyke's Chasing the Day has been reimagined as a song cycle about breaking up, breaking down, and breaking through, and will soon be available for theatrical licensing. The South Bay premiere of Broadway's biggest blockbuster, WICKED, has broken the box office record at San Jose's Center for the Performing Arts grossing $1,516,245 during the first week of a three-week engagement. This tops the previous record set by JERSEY BOYS one month prior. The phenomenon made its South Bay premiere on Wednesday, August 27. Performances of WICKED continue through Sunday, September 14. Tickets go on sale today for FISH IN THE DARK, the new comedy starring and written by Larry David, the creator and star of HBO's 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' and co-creator of 'Seinfeld.' FISH IN THE DARK, to be directed by Anna D. Shapiro, will mark Larry David's Broadway debut and will feature Jayne Houdyshell, Jake Cannavale, Jonny Orsini, Rosie Perez, and Jerry Adler. The production will begin previews Monday, February 2, and open on Thursday, March 5 at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street). Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
