a??a??a??a??a??a??a?? the american vicarious proudly presents the World Premiere of (A)loft Modulation by NYC-based playwright Jaymes Jorsling. Inspired by true events at 821 6th Avenue from 1957 - 1965,  (A)loft Modulation will feature a live jazz band led by saxophonist Jonathan Beshay that will improvise nightly. Opening Night is tonight, Thursday October 3rd. This limited Off-Broadway engagement runs through Sunday, October 27th.

Nosotros, the first Latinx arts advocacy organization in Hollywood, announced the recipients of the 2019 Golden Eagle Awards.  The honorees include a wide array of Hollywood talent in front and behind the camera. Disney's Freaky Friday just opened at North Shore Music Theatre. Based on the 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers. It was then made into a movie by Disney in 1976 staring Jody Foster and Barbara Harris, with a less memorable movie remake in 2018. It is now a newly created, fun family musical with all the bells and whistles.

"CMA Fest," the Music Event of Summer, brings the hottest music acts together on one stage for three full hours of epic collaborations and must-see performances, SUNDAY, AUG. 4 (8:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. The prime-time special, hosted by Thomas Rhett and Kelsea Ballerini with special guest host Bobby Bones, brings Country Music's Ultimate Fan Experience to a national television audience for a 16th straight year.

The Kimmel Center Cultural Campus is thrilled to kick off the 50th anniversary season celebration for its beloved Resident Company, PHILADANCO, The Philadelphia Dance Company, with a presentation entitled GENESIS, followed by a star-studded, VIP reception honoring the legacy of PHILADANCO Founder & Artistic Director Joan Myers Brown, with proceeds from the event benefiting PHILADANCO. The reception will take place in the Academy of Music ballroom, home of PHILADANCO's first Gala in 1972. Reception attendees include former PHILADANCO dancer and former Tony Award-winning star of Hamilton Leslie Odom, Jr., who will perform at both the GENESIS performance on October 5 and at the reception. Both Odom, Jr. and Broadway & television star Sheryl Lee Ralph will serve as honorary co-chairs for the 50th anniversary year.

ABC celebrates the most wonderful time of the year with special '25 Days of Christmas' programming starting Dec. 1. The network joins Freeform, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior in this fan-favorite TV event. The 'Kickoff to Christmas' begins in late November with perennial holiday treat 'Santa Claus is Comin' to Town.' The month of December is filled with special Christmas-themed episodes, the return of 'The Great Christmas Light Fight' and 'The Great American Baking Show: Holiday Edition,' and timeless animated classics and holiday films. The celebration continues after Christmas with New Year's-themed programming ringing in 2019.

MusicWorks today announced that it would be presenting 15 classic folk and rock concerts October through April at Old School Square, located at 51 N. Swinton Avenue in Delray Beach. Ten of the concerts will be presented in the venue's Crest Theatre, while five will be held in Old School Square's outdoor Pavilion.

Performances begin tonight for BEDLAM's (Eric Tucker, Artistic Director; Kimberly Pau Boston, Managing Director) new production of UNCLE ROMEO VANYA JULIET. This new production of UNCLE VANYA and ROMEO AND JULIET, at the same time, will kick off Bedlam's 2018/2019 season. The Acting Company (Ian Belknap, Artistic Director; Elisa Spencer-Kaplan, Executive Director) will honor director and artistic leader Bill Rauch and the married civic leaders Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel and Ambassador Carl Spielvogel- individuals whose exemplary work aligns with the artistic and educational ideals of the storied repertory company that produces nationally recognized theater productions and arts education programs-at the Company's 2018 Fall Gala, on November 12. Held at the historic Metropolitan Club (One East 60th Street), the event will bring together awards, live entertainment, silent and live auctions, dinner, and cocktails in celebration of theater and its contribution to American society.

Fall activities for the Centennial, which begins this month and extends through all of 2019, include a wide range of performances, film screenings, discussions, education initiatives, and new works by other artists in conversation with Cunningham's work.

 The Music Center announced it will present two star-studded concerts, JONI 75: A Birthday Celebration Live at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on November 6 and November 7, 2018, featuring an incredible array of singers and musicians who will honor one of the world's most remarkable artists, Joni Mitchell, on her 75th birthday.  On both nights, Glen Hansard, Emmylou Harris, Norah Jones, Chaka Khan, Diana Krall, Kris Kristofferson, Los Lobos, Graham Nash, Seal, and Rufus Wainwright, will perform songs from all stages of Mitchell's life and career, across the entire oeuvre of her 19 studio albums.  Co-musical directors, providing the musical arrangements for the evenings, are drummer Brian Blade, who recorded three studio albums and toured extensively with Mitchell, and, pianist, composer, arranger producer Jon Cowherd.

Lakewood Theatre Company continues its 66th season with the extraordinarily timeless tale of Pippin from composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell). Directed by Paul Angelo with musical direction by Valery Saul and choreography by Erin Shannon, this musical questions the choices we make in life that lead us to happiness. Pippin first premiered on Broadway in 1972, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and book by Roger O. Hirson. The original production featured choreography and direction by Bob Fosse, who won Tony awards for both categories in 1973. Lakewood Theatre Company's production opens September 7 and runs through October 14, 2018 on the Headlee Mainstage at Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S. State Street in Lake Oswego.

Joan Tower, the Asher Edelman Professor in the Arts at Bard College, is renowned as one of America's most important living composers. This September, The Bard College Conservatory of Music celebrates Tower's 80th birthday with a concert program of featuring world premieres of Towers' recent compositions including Small Plus (2018) performed by S? Percussion; Looking Back (2018) performed by the Da Capo Chamber Players; and Thank You (2018), with Dawn Upshaw conducting members of the Bard Conservatory Graduate Vocal Arts Program.
