The West Palm Beach, FL engagement of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning musical JERSEY BOYS broke the box office record at the Kravis Center for the week ending March 14, with a gross of $1,260,453, breaking the previous record set by South Pacific of $1,065,175 set earlier this season.

It's right off the spool-when Pacific Symphony dissasembles the traditional concert format to deliver an energetic and mesmerizing third 'Music Unwound' performance: 'Gershwin and All That Jazz.' Led by Music Director Carl St.Clair, this special concert features French Canadian pianist Lefevre and one of America's leading bass singers, Kevin Deas, performing a slate of American music to reveal the profound influence of jazz on composers throughout the 20th and 21st centuries. Rather than following a traditional format, this concert is being presented in a provocative new way, featuring a 'collage' of music-short vignettes performed in a fluid stream-without the interruption of any breaks other than two intermissions. 'Gershwin and All That Jazz' takes place Thursday-Saturday, March 18-20, at 8 p.m., in the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall.

TrueNorth Cultural Arts has announced the cast for their upcoming production of the updated version of the Maltby and Shire musical, BABY. The cast stars Michael Dempsey as Alan, Natalie Green as Lizzie, Bernadette Hisey as Arlene, David Robeano as Nick Shane Joseph Siniscalchi as Danny, and Maggie Stahl-Floriano as Pam. The musical opens at TrueNorth March 5th and runs through March 21st.

Pacific Stages Ovation recommended production of "Lobby Hero," by award winning writer Kenneth Lonergan has been extended through March 21.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announced its 2010-2011 theater programming. The season will feature: a Center-produced revival of Stephen Sondheim's Follies; ON THE FRINGE: Eye on Edinburgh featuring new work by artists emerging from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe; 11 and 12, directed by Peter Brook; Chekhov International Theatre Festival's Three Sisters and Twelfth Night; DRUID's The Cripple of Inishmaan; and Penumbra Theatre Company's new production I Wish You Love, as part of the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays. Barbara Cook's Spotlight will bring six theater cabaret performers in its fourth season, and audiences will delight in touring productions of Hair, Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific, Wicked, and Next to Normal. Dmitri Shostakovich's The Nose has its Metropolitan Opera premiere on March 5 at 8:00 pm, conducted by Valery Gergiev, in a visually arresting new production by artist William Kentridge that features original collage, film, sculpture, and massive projections of the artist's drawings and prints. Making his Met debut, baritone Paulo Szot performs the role of Kovalyov in the story of the Russian official who wakes one morning to discover his nose has disappeared (and taken on a higher bureaucratic rank). Based on the short story of the same name by Nikolai Gogol, the opera is what Kentridge has called an exploration of "learning from the absurd." In this production, visuals include renderings of Soviet workers, snatches of newspaper, and projections of propaganda - as well as the missing appendage in adventures ranging from delivering a speech to riding a horse.

Sarahbeth Grossman and Craig Zehms today announced that Dan Butler (best known as Bulldog on "Frasier"), Roderick Hill (Butley on Broadway opposite Nathan Lane), Scott Jaeck ("Charmed"), Brian Leahy ("The Junior League of Superheroes"), and Austin Peck ("Days of Our Lives") would star in the Off-Broadway premiere of Martin Casella's acclaimed comedy THE IRISH CURSE at the Soho Playhouse.
