Top artists from the entertainment community will come together on June 10, 2010 as AFI presents the 38th AFI Life Achievement Award - the highest honor for a career in film -- to acclaimed director Mike Nichols. The CAPA Summer Movie Series, the longest-running classic film series in America, celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2010 with an impressive assembly of classics, cult favorites, and much beloved films. The 2010 series, made possible through the generous support of PNC, will run June 4 - July 25 at the historic Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.).

Renowned physicist Brian Greene, art duo Al and Al, award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang, and Artistic Director of London's Southbank Centre Jude Kelly explore the creative process behind a brand-new performance inspired by Greene's moving futuristic reimagining of the Icarus fable. This event is scheduled for Sunday, April 25, at 3PM and 7:30PM.

This marks the fifth major production of the title since it opened in London in 2004. Only three months after the Dutch opening, a sixth production opens in Melbourne, Australia in July 2010.

Fred Applegate, George Hearn, David Patrick Kelly, Michael McCormick, Rondi Reed, Elena Shaddow, James Snyder and Ted Sutherland have been cast in Fanny, the 50th Encores! musical produced by New York City Center since 1994 and the second Encores! production of the season. Fanny, running February 4 - 7, has music and lyrics by Harold Rome and book by S.N. Behrman and Joshua Logan, and is based on Marcel Pagnol's trilogy Marius, Fanny and Cesar. Fanny will be directed by Mark Bruni and choreographed by Lorin Latarro with music direction by Rob Berman.
