The Joyce Theater Foundation and The National Ballet of Canada today announced the casting for Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, having its New York premiere at the David H. Koch Theater at the Lincoln Center today, September 9 - 14, 2014.

Musical Theatre Guild, the winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critic's Circle Margaret Harford Award for sustained excellence in the theatre, will open their 2014-2015 season with the multiple Tony Award nominated musical SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS. Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced that the magnetic five-time Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara returns to Williamstown to perform a special one-night-only benefit concert, An Enchanted Evening with Kelli O'Hara, on the Main Stage, Monday, August 11th at 7:30 PM.

Principal casting has been announced for the upcoming world premiere production of AN AMERICAN IN PARIS. This production, which had its world premiere by the Royal Ballet at London's Royal Opera House in 2011 and its North American premiere by the National Ballet in Toronto in 2011, will be the fourth Joyce Theater presentation at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater following the just completed New York premiere of Ballet Preljocaj's Snow White (April 23-27, 2014). Today in 2002, Sweet Smell of Success opened at the Martin Beck Theatre (now the Al Hirschfeld Theatre), where it ran for 109 performances. Created by Marvin Hamlisch (music), Craig Carnelia (lyrics), and John Guare (book), the show is based on the 1957 movie of the same name. It tells the story of a powerful newspaper columnist named J. J. Hunsecker (based on famed New York columnist Walter Winchell) who uses his connections to ruin his sister's relationship with a man he deems inappropriate. The show starred John Lithgow as J.J. Hunsecker, and Brian d'Arcy James as Sidney Falcone.

On the heels of a highly successful run of George Balanchine's 'The Nutcracker', Oregon Ballet Theatre will show a multitude of facets with REVEAL at the Keller Auditorium, today, February 22 - March 1, 2014.

This winter, The Joffrey Ballet revisits its contemporary roots with a mixed repertory program titled 'Contemporary Choreographers,' an evening of three pieces, two by some of contemporary ballet's most luminous choreographers working today and one by a local 'rising star' choreographer. 'Contemporary Choreographers' is presented in 10 performances only at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, 50 E. Former Principal Dancer Artur Sultanov returns to the stage for only these performances to partner Principal Dancer Alison Roper in every show of this work, originally created on the duo in 2008.
