According to Entertainment Weekly, Patti LuPone will guest star in upcoming episode of MOM on CBS. LuPone will play Rita, the (demanding) new owner of the building that is managed by Bonnie (Allison Janney). Rita is a bit of a live wire: Freshly divorced, she's either barking orders or sharing way too much about her personal life. LuPone's episode will air in April.

Having enjoyed a wildly successful 2016 revival starring Glenn Close at the London Coliseum and a Broadway engagement in 2017, it seems fitting that Sunset Boulevard has embarked on a UK tour following a run at Leicester's Curve. With Artistic Director Nikolai Foster at the helm, this new production is a sleek, sophisticated and utterly riveting take on an Andrew Lloyd Webber classic.

Signature Theatre is excited to announce the cast and creative team for the world premiere of 4,380 Nights by DC playwright Annalisa Dias. The production will be directed by Kathleen Akerley (Artistic Director of Longacre Lea) and will feature Ahmad Kamal (Woolly Mammoth's KISS) as Malik Essaid/El Hadj El Kaim, Michael John Casey (Shakespeare Theatre's Othello, Folger Theatre's Henry V) as Bud Abramson/Man, Rex Daugherty (Signature'sShakespeare's R&J) as Luke/Colonel Pelissier, and Lynette Rathnam (Ford Theatre's Death of a Salesman) as Woman (complete cast and creative team bios are below). 4,380 Nights will run from January 16 through February 18 in Signature Theatre's ARK Theatre. 4,380 Nights is Signature's submission to the 2018 Women's Voices Theater Festival.

Over the years, Hollywood has rolled out many amazing movies, some of the best ideas coming from the Broadway stage. Sometimes though, Broadway gets inspiration from the big screen. Some adaptations are well known, like SCHOOL OF ROCK, GHOST, BRING IT ON and WAITRESS, and some might be as widely familiar, like AMELIE, THOROGHLY MODERN MILLIE and KINKY BOOTS.

The International Emmy Award-winning, all-male dance company BalletBoyz are set to return to London's Sadler's Wells this autumn for the world premiere of their new show Fourteen Days before embarking on tour across the UK. The new work from the recent Rose d'Or winners has been created by four internationally celebrated choreographers, alongside four eminent and completely different composers, the new work comprises of four short pieces, and will run alongside their previously acclaimed Fallen. A coproduction with Sadler's Wells where BalletBoyz are an Associate Artist, and in association with artsdepot, Fourteen Days runs from 10th 14th October at Sadler's Wells with an Opening Night on Tuesday 10th October.

1993's rarely produced Sunset Boulevard is a somewhat flawed musical play that satisfies best with the casting of an actress of great star quality as Norma Desmond, one whose face could have convincingly lit up a silent film screen. Moonlight Amphitheatre has its star in Valerie Perri, and under Larry Raben's resourcefully skilled staging, Sunset Boulevard is a hit.

Norma is one step closer to her silver screen return! TheWrap reports that a new movie musical version of SUNSET BOULEVARD is eyeing a January 2018 start at Paramount.

Moonlight Stage Productions continues its 37th season with the San Diego Regional Premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber's masterful homage to the golden age of Hollywood, Sunset Boulevard, Aug. 16 - Sept. 2, at the Moonlight Amphitheatre. Capturing Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Book of a Musical, the show is based on Billy Wilder's classic 1950 film noir which featured such highly quoted lines as "I am big. Naturally, New York City and theatre fans across the world are excitedly buzzing about this year's ceremonies, which will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 8/7c on CBS. As always, this Broadway season has some exciting contenders in the musical categories, and to get you ready for the big night, I'm recapping the albums you should be listening to (or at least pre-ordering).

The 71st Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 11th at 8/9c hosted by Kevin Spacey. It's the biggest award show of the Broadway season and it closes out a long awards season for Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays. Set for Easter Sunday (April 1, 2018), NBC will bring to broadcast television “Jesus Christ Superstar Live!,” a one-of-a-kind live staging of the iconic 1971 Broadway rock opera with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. Some of Philadelphia's biggest musical theater stars are teaming up for a one-night only salute to the Great White Way. The Summer Club Salutes Broadway will feature a 17-piece live big band performing hits from Jersey Boys, The Music Man, Guys and Dolls, Cabaret, and more at the Venice Island Performing Arts Center (7 Lock Street, Philadelphia) at 8PM on May 1.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee has announced that they will present the 2017 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre to two of the most successful General Managers in the Broadway community - Nina Lannan and Alan Wasser.
