Happy Birthday, Judy Kuhn! Kuhn made her Broadway debut was in The Mystery of Edwin Drood. She then played Cosette in the 1987 multiple award winning Broadway production of Les Miserables brought her the first Tony Award nomination. The following year, Kuhn took on a transfer from London's West End, playing one of the main roles (Florence Vassy) in the Trevor Nunn-directed Chess, with music by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus (formerly of ABBA) and lyrics by Tim Rice. Later in 1993, Kuhn played the role of Betty Schaefer in the U.S premier production of Sunset Boulevard at the Shubert Theatre in Los Angeles. Kuhn sang the title role in the 1995 Disney animated film, Pocahontas, the film included her rendition of the song Colors of the Wind, which won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for its composers Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz. On October 23, 2007, Kuhn returned to the Broadway Production of Les Miserables after 20 years, but this time assuming the role of Fantine.

AstonRep Theatre Company has announced its 2014-15 its new artistic home, The Raven Theatre, 6157 N. Clark St. in Chicago. The season kicks off this fall with Martin McDonagh's comedy THE LIEUTENANT OF INISHMORE, directed by Company Member Derek Bertelsen followed next spring by Christopher Hampton's drama LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES, directed by Charlie Marie McGrath. Side Show, based on the true life story of conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton, is set to be revived at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. in performances running from June 14 - July 13, 2014. Side Show originally opened on Broadway in 1997, starring Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner as the Hilton twins. Telling the story of their rise from circus attractions to famous vaudeville performers during the Great Depression, Side Show brings us the sisters' lifelong search for fortune, romance, and a spot on the stage.

We thought it was a little strange when it crossed our News Desk today that Liza Minnelli would be starring in a film version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard, to be produced by the dynamic duo of TV, Film and Broadway vets Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. This was posted by 'Online PR News' on September 15th and we thought it odd that we wouldn't have heard of this, so we reached out to the pair and to Minnelli's publicist and quickly confirmed that there was NO truth to the report, and further confirmed that Zadan and Meron have NEVER been involved with a movie version of Sunset Boulevard.
The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre's 2013 Season is the year Broadway and Hollywood meet with all of the productions at the theatre being hits both on the silver screen and Great White Way. For the fall, Way Off Broadway will be producing what can be called the epitome of a movie musical, Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard.
