Parker School (2233 North Clark Street) as part of the 25th Anniversary Fall Festival: Journeys, Oct. 25-Nov. 9. Created by Rob Lindley and Doug Peck, A Night at the Tonys will take audiences on a chronological journey featuring a song from each Tony Award-winning "Best Musical" production since 1949. The production will feature two-time Tony Award-nominees Andre DeShields (Ain't Misbehavin'; The Wiz; The Full Monty) and Ernestine Jackson (Raisin; Guys and Dolls; Hello Dolly!), Broadway alum Karen Mason (Sunset Boulevard; Mamma Mia!), and Tony Award-winner Jessie Mueller (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical; On a Clear Day You Can See Forever), as well as some of Chicago's top performers. Rodgers and Hammerstein's award-winning South Pacific is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book Tales of the South Pacific by James A. Michener. The musical is set on an island paradise during World War II and tells two parallel love stories against the dangers of prejudice and war and the importance of valuing diversity. Its portrayal of Americans stationed in an alien culture in wartime is as relevant today as when it first thrilled audiences in 1949. Westchester Broadway Theatre Presents SOUTH PACIFIC September 25-November 30, and December 31-January 25.

One enchanted evening is what Kansas City audiences received on opening night of South Pacific, the Musical Theater Heritage production at the Off Center Theatre. Premiering on Broadway in 1949 the musical composed by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II garnered 10 Tony Awards including Best Musical, and Best Score. It is the only musical production to win all four Tony Awards in the acting Categories and in 1950, won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

The Tony Award winning 1949 musical South Pacific comes to the Off Center Theatre in Kansas City, Mo. from August 7 through August 24. This enduring love story is set on a tropical island during World War II. Richard Rodgers wrote the music with lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and the book by Oscar Hammerstein II and Joshua Logan. Sarah Crawford directs the Musical Theatre Heritage production and provides musical direction with Jeremy Watson.

The event will feature the classic Broadway musical, South Pacific - performed by the award-winning Aurora Theatre followed by Fireworks. Free to the public, Lawrenceville's PRELUDE event will be held on the Lawrenceville Square by the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse.

Me and My Girl, the joyously funny story of an unrefined cockney gent who must choose between love or money, runs July 10-20.
