Filmmakers from the U.S., Lebanon, Palestine, and the United Kingdom have been selected for the 2019 Sundance Institute Directors and Screenwriters Labs, taking place at the Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah. At the Directors Lab (May 27-June 18), filmmakers will rehearse, shoot, and edit key scenes from their scripts, working in an immersive, hands-on environment with support from accomplished advisors to build their craft as directors and make key discoveries in collaboration with their actors and key crew. Immediately following, the Screenwriters Lab (June 20-24) provides the opportunity to process the insight gained from the Directors Lab through one-on-one story sessions with screenwriter advisors, and find inspiration and guidance for continued development of their screenplays.

Seinfeld currently holds the record for the most comedy shows at The Beacon, and is catching up to the total performance numbers of other legendary Beacon Theatre mainstays, including Allman Brothers Band and Steely Dan, who have 238 and 60 performances, respectively. Additional performances as part of the Seinfeld residency have been announced through November 2019.

I truly cannot recommend this play-with-music enough.

John Mulaney was a guest on last night's episode of Conan. During the interview, Conan brings up Mulaney's famous musical SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE sketches. Conan asks if 'Diner Lobster' and 'Bodega Bathroom' are part of a trilogy of musical sketches, and if audiences should be expecting a third the next time he hosts. Mulaney replies, 'I'm not sure what the next would be, I think it might be the G train.'

The newly announced 2019 dates are as follows: September 20, October 25, and October 26, with performances at 7:00pm and 9:30pm on all three nights. The October events will be part of a Netflix special live taping. Tickets will go on-sale for the three new dates on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 10:00am (EST). The Rolling Stones today announced the release of a brand-new Best Of compilation album, Honk. Featuring the biggest hits and classic cuts from every Rolling Stones studio album from 1971 to 2016's Blue & Lonesome, Honk is out on April 19, 2019. Pre-order Honk here.  

During an interview with Vulture, John Mulaney discussed his return to SNL, which featured the follow-up musical sketch to the famous 'Diner Lobster,' which was a 'Les Miserables' song parody sketch. The sequel sketch, 'Bodega Bathroom' featured musical spoofs of songs from 'Rent', 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', to name a few. Mulaney also recently starred in the 'Company' parody episode of 'Documentary Now!'

Syracuse Stage announced the shows that will make up the 2019/2020 season: six plays and musicals on subscription plus a special world premiere directed by TV, stage and film actor Taye Diggs.
