Chesney, Swift Lead Nominations of COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS Airing on CBS, 4/1

Nominations for the 47th ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS, a star-studded event produced for television by dick clark productions, were announced this morning in a first-ever ACM digital press conference on the Academy's Facebook and Twitter pages. The winners will be announced live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 1 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Auerbach Pollock Friedlander, theater design consultants of Signature Center, a new performing arts venue, which will be the permanent home of Signature Theatre Company, has completed its work on the center, comprising three intimate theaters, a studio theater, rehearsal studio, public café and bookstore. A performing arts/media facilities planning and design firm that provides the link between the end user of the facility and the designing architect, Auerbach Pollock Friedlander worked in collaboration with Signature Theatre Company, Gehry Partners, LLP and H3 Hardy Collaboration Architecture (architect of record) to provide theater consulting and audio video systems design for Signature Center.

Producers Ben Sprecher and Louise Forlenza, in association with Tony Fusco and Larry Feinman, and by special arrangement with/and based on the Vereinigte Buhnen Wien GmbH production, announced that the new musical REBECCA, based on the classic novel by Daphne du Maurier novel, will open on Broadway Sunday, April 22 at a Shubert theater to be announced. Previews will begin Tuesday, March 27. Sierra Boggess (currently starring in Master Class, The Little Mermaid, Love Never Dies) is in negotiations to play the role of 'I.'

NJPAC Attempts to Break Guinness World Record for 'Largest Chorus Line'

NJPAC, which will be hosting an upcoming touring production of A CHORUS LINE, is hoping to break a Guinness record by amassing 1,629 chorus dancers at The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack, NJ this Saturday. The current record for Guinness' 'World's Largest Chorus Line' was set in 2004 and consisted of 1,628 dancers.

Jerry Mitchell to Direct/Choreograph HAIRSPRAY at the Hollywood Bowl

Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell has been announced as the director/choreographer of the Hollywood Bowl's production of HAIRSPRAY, the 2003 winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, in addition to holding the record as the 20th longest running show in Broadway history. Lon Hoyt has been announced as the musical director of the production. Mitchell was the original choreographer of Hairspray on Broadway, and Hoyt was the original musical director of the Broadway production.
