It's hard to believe a director would fire a leading actor a day before a show is set to open, or that actors would change the lines of the script the first night of the show. But such debacles are not merely the stuff of farcical fiction, but also the real live events that have been captured in "Opening Night Mutiny," a show written by two York natives that will run Jan 25 to Feb 10 at the Players' Ring in Portsmouth.

Casting is now complete for the Lyceum premiere of the intriguing and riotous comedy The 39 Steps. This fast-paced whodunit, playing from August 4 - August 12, will be directed by MICHAEL EVAN HANEY (Guess Who's Coming To Dinner, 2017 - Caine Mutiny Court-Martial, 2016 - Driving Miss Daisy, 2015). The production features DANIEL HARRAY as Richard Hannay, MALLORY HAWKS as Annabella Schmidt and several others, BEN ROSEBERRY as Clown 1, and QUIN GRESHAM as Clown 2.

Set in a courtroom in New York's Bellevue Hospital, the story follows the JOURNEY of a high-priced call girl incarcerated on a charge for killing a violent 'john.' The State says Claudia Faith Draper is unfit to stand trial.
