The Cameron Mackintosh/Really Useful Theatre Company, Inc. production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, directed by Harold Prince, will be at the Detroit Opera House for the first time ever September, 8-27.

SONOS Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Erik E. Ochsner will perform two concerts on May 10th and May 13th. The programs include two world premiere commissions: American Reflections by Brian Wilbur Grundstrom, and Concerto for Shakuhachi and Chamber Orchestra by James Nyoraku Schlefer along with the United States premiere of Pehr Henrik Nordgren's Cronaca for Strings.

Beginning Monday evening, July 27, there will be a new ?man behind the mask' in the Broadway production of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, which is the longest-running show in Broadway history. John Cudia, the current star of the National Tour, will take over the role on Broadway after a nearly decade-long association with the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, directed by Harold Prince.

He reports that the show might have four companies in rehearsal this summer instead of the earlier announced three, as Toronto may end up staying put and not heading for a Broadway bow if it proves successful.
